CHAPTER 42

Alice had tried figuring out a way to escape ever since they trapped her inside the room. She knew they would be back soon, or at least she hoped they would come back.

She looked up at the old clock on the wall, it was riddled with cobwebs, but she could still make out the time, it was eight in the evening. For the past nine hours she hadn't seen anyone, it was almost as if no one was coming.

She had tried listening for foot steps or even faint voices, but nothing.

The room was dirty indeed. But there were still a few old things she could put to good use, like the cutlass she had found by the broken down cupboard for instance, or pieces from a shattered mirror, she wrapped a large piece of dirty cloth at the end of the broken mirror. That way she could hold it without cutting herself.

She was ready, and whoever opened the door first, would suffer in her world of pain.
