I was leaning against the bathroom wall when Dylan kicked the door open. It flew right in, and the lower part even cracked from the force.

Our eyes locked, and I could see genuine worry in his gaze—though he was the first to look away.

“Tch… what on earth is wrong with you?” he snapped, but I noticed him catch his breath the moment he saw me standing there naked. “I thought something terrible had happened!” he muttered, quickly turning his back to give me privacy.

I was leaning against the bathroom wall when Dylan kicked the door open. It flew right in, and the lower part even cracked from the force. Our eyes locked, and I could see genuine worry in his gaze—though he was the first to look away.“Tch… what on earth is wrong with you?” he snapped, but I noticed him catch his breath the moment he saw me standing there naked. “I thought something terrible had happened!” he muttered, quickly turning his back to give me privacy.I grabbed the towel hanging behind the door and wrapped it around myself, then walked slowly back toward the bed.A wave of relief washed over me when I saw Dylan was no longer in the room; he must have hurried out right away.I got dressed as fast as I could, pulled out my phone, and immediately dialed Trisha’s number.“Trish, where are you?”“Uh, we’re out having a good time right now. I went for a walk with the makeup artist and the event coordinator first.”“Wait, where exactly? Can I—”“We’re at Disney’s Animal Ki

IT was already midnight by the time we finished drinking. Dylan’s friends had all left, and only Ernest remained.“Why aren’t you heading home yet?” I asked.“I want to help you get Dylan to your room first before I leave. I know it would be difficult for you to carry him on your own—”“Thank you so much, Ernest! That’s really thoughtful of you!”He simply smiled, then helped me take Dylan inside. Our parents were fast asleep in their own rooms, so Ernest was the only one I could turn to.“Thanks again,” I said once we’d settled Dylan into bed.“Anytime! By the way, do you and Dylan plan to stay here permanently?”“Not at all. We’re going back to Sydney—probably tomorrow, or…”“Oh, I understand,” was all he said before bidding farewell and stepping out.“I’ll walk you to the door and—”“No, it’s fine. You’d better stay here. He might wake up and start looking for you.”“All right then.”As soon as Ernest was gone, I went over to Dylan. He was still fast asleep, so I decided to s

OF all the brides in the world, I feel like I’m the only one who isn’t happy right now."Ma’am, please try to keep a smile on your face, it’ll make easier for the makeup artist to work on you," said Trisha, who had only arrived earlier that morning."Thanks, Trish. I honestly thought you wouldn’t make it. I almost didn’t invite you at all because… well, you know how everything here was decided by Dylan.""I get it, Ma’am. Actually, he only told me yesterday that I needed to be here. I wasn’t even ready, and I didn’t bring any extra clothes with me. But… are you absolutely sure about going through with this?""Trish, you know I don’t really have a choice in the matter.""I see… I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something to cheer you up or change things for you," Trisha replied, her tone turning sorrowful."Your presence is a great comfort to me. So don't be sad. I know how much you want to help me." I said tearfully."That's enough! Stop crying. It's a waste of make up!" Trisha

THE moment we reached Dylan’s house, his father wasted no time speaking to us.“Why were you two arguing out in the open like that?” Uncle Theodore asked. I immediately lowered my head in embarrassment.“Dad, it was just a little misunderstanding. There’s no need to make a big deal out of it,” Dylan answered, his tone thick with annoyance.“Tsk, fine. But remember this... next time, keep your arguments private. Don’t cause a scene in public,” his father insisted firmly.“I’m really sorry, Uncle,” I said, keeping my head bowed.“What’s happening here, honey?” Auntie Diana’s voice broke in as she walked over.“Nothing to worry about. I was just reminding them that if they have disagreements, they should discuss them in private,” Uncle Theodore explained.“Oh? Why, what happened earlier?” she asked curiously.“It was nothing, Mom. Please just forget about it. Anyway, I was thinking of ordering food for dinner so we don’t have to—”“There’s no need for that, son. Freya’s mother has k

BEFORE heading to the airport, Dylan and I got into an argument over which vehicle we should take.“We’re using my car. I refuse to drive something that looks ugly,” he stated, and I immediately felt my temper flare up again.“How could you say that?! We can just bring both cars. My parents and I will ride in mine. As for your car... since you think it’s fine, you and your parents can take that one instead. That sounds like a fair plan, doesn’t it?” I retorted.“Are you being serious right now? How would my driver get the car back afterward? We’re only taking one vehicle, and it’s definitely going to be mine,” he replied firmly.“Tsk. So you just always have to get your way, don’t you?” I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.Luckily, my dad arrived just in time, putting a stop to our bickering.“What’s all this about?” he asked.“Nothing at all, Dad!” Dylan and I answered at the exact same time. I quickly shot him a sharp, annoyed look."Get inside. Dylan’s driver has been waiti

THE next morning, I was woken up by someone knocking repeatedly on my bedroom door. "Ugh! What is all that noise about?" I grumbled, frowning as I got up and opened the door. I blinked a few times just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things—there, I saw Dylan stood right in front of my room. "Hurry up and get out here, brat! Breakfast is served, and everyone’s waiting for you!" "What? You again? Why are you even here? Did you sleep over or something?" I asked, completely confused. "You have five minutes to get ready and come downstairs," Dylan said sternly, and his attitude made my blood boil instantly. "Five minutes my ass!" I yelled back, slammed the door shut, and threw myself back onto the bed again.I was about to close my eyes when Dylan knocked again."Tss, don't you really want me-"I couldn't continue what I was going to say because when I opened the door again, Auntie Diana is the one who's knocking there."Um, auntie...""Join us for breakfast." she said
