Chapter Thirty Nine

Michael and Irene led the team back down to the prison area. Although they moved swiftly and cautiously through the hallways, they still had to shoot their way through several enemy soldiers.

The gunshots alerted more of the enemy forces to their location but they still did their best to pull through.

When they reached the door to the prison, Michael quickly unlocked it with the keys he had taken earlier. Jocelyn rushed over, relieved to see her brother was okay.

"Thank god you're back! We heard gunfire -what's going on?" she asked worriedly.

"We had a run-in with some of the guards but it's handled," Michael reassured her. "We found Irene's team, so now we can get everyone out of here."

Jocelyn looked around to see if Victor was among the men that arrived with her brother.

"We couldn't find Victor," Michael said softly when he noticed her gaze on Irene's men.

After seeing the reinforcements that Irene and Michael had brought along with them, some of the former captives looked relie
