He passed Michael the beverage.Michael drank it in one gulp and asked for a refill. The bartender obliged, looking amazed. "Are you a regular sir?" he inquired."No, I am not," Michael responded flatly. "Okay, my name's Charlie, sir," the bartender introduced himself."Nice to meet you, Charlie. Well, what do you want from me?" Michael asked brusquely."Well, you look familiar, sir. I just can't quite place how I know you."Michael emptied his second cup and requested the entire bottle, hoping to drown his sorrows, though he knew no amount of alcohol could intoxicate him. At St. Anne's Hospital, Evelyn was welcomed with joy by both the staff and the patients. It had been several months since she had left, and she was happy to be back. A few moments later, the medical chief, Dr. Andrews, called her to his office when he heard of her return."May I come in, Sir?" Evelyn said as she knocked twice before entering the chief's office."Hello, welcome back, Dr. Evelyn, or should I say Dr. Wolf?" He asked, unsure of what to call her."Whichever is fine by me, Sir," she replied."Okay, Dr. Evelyn it is. You can have a seat."She thanked him as she took her seat. His office had not changed much; he still had those collections of sports memorabilia signed by his favorite athletes decorated everywhere. He would always tell his colleagues that if not for his father, he would have been an athlete, and you could see it might have been true because of his lifestyle."How was the honeymoon, by the way?" Dr. Andrews asked."Good. Fine.""Okay," he said as he took out a

Before the detective shot the gun, Rebecca had pushed open the door, allowing him to miss his target."What the hell are you doing, Luke, she's my best friend!" Rebecca shouted at him."She saw everything, Becca," he told her. "Are you sure?" "Absolutely. You know we can't let her leave here alive."Rebecca looked at her friend. "Evelyn, is it true" she asked softly."I didn't see anything. I swear", Evelyn told her."Okay, what are you doing here?"She said shakily "Rebecca, your dad called. He said he wanted to speak with you and that it was urgent, and so I came to give you your phone." "...and you didn't see anything?" Rebecca asked. "Of course she did, Becca. Let me waste her here and now!" The detective shouted as he pointed

Evelyn's heart skipped a beat when she heard that her husband was shot. "How? When?" Evelyn asked her. "A few minutes ago. In front of my family's company," Jocelyn answered."My Goodness. Is he alright?" Rebecca asked"The bullets were immersed in wolfsbane, so it is not looking good" "Where did I put my car key?" Evelyn asked herself as she began searching for it."Don't worry I'll drive you" Jocelyn told her. After a while, Jocelyn arrived at Wolvetin castle."What are we doing in your family's castle? Shouldn't we be going to a hospital?" Rebecca asked"My brother is here receiving treatment. We couldn't take him to the hospital as it would raise suspicion" Jocelyn drove into the castle and was greeted by Brian."Welcome back Miss Jocelyn," he said with a smile on his face."How is my brother Brian?" She asked on their way into the castle."Master Michael is recovering well ma'am and Dr Andrews successfully removed all the bullets""Thank you, Brian"Evelyn was relieved when sh

She opened the journal and read for a while before falling fast onto the couch. The next morning, she woke up and checked on Michael who was pretty much the same as the previous day.
