Chapter Fifteen

Lola and Camille stood there for what seemed like hours, not saying anything, just staring silently at each other.

"Hey", Camille said finally, breaking the heavy silence that had hung over them.

Lola sighed.

"What do you want?", she asked Camille in a blank tone.

"Can I come in?", Camille asked nervously.

"No", Lola said and leaned against the door.

Camille flinched and bit her lips.

"Fine, I guess I deserve that", she said as she glanced at Lola guiltily.

"You think?", Lola asked back sarcastically.

"Lola, listen, I swear I didn't do it on purpose. I didn't mean to", Camille began to explain but Lola would not hear her.

"Oh please", Lola scoffed and walked back inside the apartment.

She made to slam the door, but Camille caught it in time and followed into the apartment after her.

"Lola, please listen to me", Camille pleaded.

"Get out!", Lola yelled at her.
