LOGINAADIL….
I opened my eyes and glanced at the clock. It showed three-fifteen am at midnight. Pushing the comforter aside, I sat on the bed to look for Inayat. When my gaze fell on her frame. For one moment I felt pity for her. She was sleeping like a ball while shivering. I didn't even give her a blanket. That's why she was sleeping like this in the cold weather. I stepped down from the bed and went to my closet. I pulled out a blanket from that and went back to her. I covered her with the blanket and got back to my bed. But suddenly, something crosses my mind. And I smirked. After completing my work, I slept peacefully. My peaceful sleep broke with the alarm sound. I opened my eyes and searched for Inayat, but to my surprise, she wasn't in the room. ‘Where did she go and that too early in the morning?’ I thought in my mind. Just then, I heard some sound coming from the closet. "Ohh! So, she's in the closet." I mumbled while smirking. I went to the closet and twisted the doorknob, but it was locked from the inside. How dare she? I knocked on the door loudly in rage. And heard the unlocking sound of the doorknob. She opened the door, and I glared at her. "Why are you glaring at m;e early in the morning?” She snarled at me? Staring at me with a heated gaze. By holding her hand, I pulled her out of the closet. "Because you just ruined my mood by showing your face. I'm going to have a bad day.” Hissing at her, I entered the closet. I was about to close the door when I heard her sound. “Get used to it. Now you have to see my face every morning. You are stuck with me for the rest of your life, Mr. Waziri.” I slammed the door hearing her answer. “I feel angry just thinking now I have to see your face only, before going to bed at night and after waking up in the morning. I had so many dreams about this before marriage now see what is happening to me.” I muttered and started the shower to have a warm bath. After taking a shower, I changed into a new pair of clothes and stepped out of the bathroom. Entering my room, I found Inayat standing near the bed. "Why are you standing here like a ghost?" I asked her annoyedly, wearing my watch. "You forbidden me to sit on your bed and I'm even forbidden to sit on your chair too. And thanks to you that the couch is still soaked with water as you poured water on it last night.” “Now you will ask me why I didn't go downstairs. So let me tell you if I go there without you they will ask me, why aren't you with me? So, to avoid such a situation, I decided to wait for you, and then we will go downstairs for breakfast together." She narrated her statement and I was just listening to her nonsense words. Oh, God! What a chatterbox is this girl? I just asked her a question and she made a story as an answer. "Do you wanna ask something more?" She asked me, and I glared at her. "I asked you a simple question and you gave me a lecture for that answer. Look, girl. I don't have any interest in listening to your nonsense.”I said, rolling my eyes and marching towards the door to go downstairs. “Well, thank you for last night. Wasn't it you who covered me with the blanket? Obviously, it was you; otherwise, who could it be other than you? Only you and I sleep in this room. I think you are not as bad as you pretend to be.” She expressed her gratitude with a smile on her face. And I mentally rolled my eyes in annoyance. Now she has started again. Can't she shut her mouth for some time? Always babbling nonsense. “Are you going downstairs or not? You do one thing: talk to yourself. I'm going. I have no interest in listening to your nonsense.” Saying that I opened the door to leave, and she followed me like an obedient wife. ******************* INAYAT..... When we reached the dining hall, everyone was present there. I greeted them with all respect. "Dear, have a seat and have breakfast," Baba told me, gesturing for me to sit with Aadil. "Bade Abbu, let's give her our introduction. She doesn't know us properly.” Suddenly Saaba said to Baba. "Introduction can be done after breakfast, Dear,” Baba replied, and I also agreed with him. Now, at this time, I was starving. So I just wanted food to fill my empty stomach And about the introduction of the family members, it can be done after breakfast, right? “No, Saaba is right. Food is not going anywhere.” But Aadil objected. This man. I hate him the most. Always makes trouble for me. “Bhabi, I'm Saba, your sister-in-law.” She introduced herself with a bright smile. And I return the gesture with a smile. "Bhabi Jaan. I'm Arham. Your husband's brother. I mean your Brother-in-law." Ohh! So that means he is Arham. Who is the same age as me? But he is calling me Bhabhi Jaan. Now I'm feeling like a woman now. Ha. Ha. I nodded with a smile. Suddenly, from nowhere, a boy came from there with swag and stood with Saaba. He was looking at me but not in a good manner. "Hello! Inayat. Good morning." He greeted me, forwarding his hand towards me. I frowned at that but didn't forward my hand. Who is he? I don't like this type of boy. Who always tried to cling to girls. "Good morning." I also wished him back with a fake smile. After seeing my reaction, he pulled back his hand and put it into his pocket. "I'm Sahil. Saaba's brother. Though I'm your brother-in-law, you can call me Sahil. I won't mind. As you are the same age as me." Now he started his nonsense blabbering in front of elders. "Astakhfirullah. Khudah ka khouf karo Sahil. Yeh kya tamiz hota hai apne bhabi se baat karne ki. Bhale hi woh tumhare age ki hai yah tumse choti. Hai toh rishte mein tumse badi. So from now respect her. And don't dare to call her by her name. Call her Bhabi. Only bhabi. Got it." Ohho! My shohar got possessive over me. Wonderful! Great! “How dare you talk to your sister-in-law in that tone, Sahil? It doesn't matter even though she's the same age as you or younger than you, she's older than you in relationships.” Aadil scolded Sahil for being disrespectful towards me. “Aadil is right. Salima begum, didn't you educate your son properly? Where is his manners? You didn't even teach him how to respect the elders.” Dadi Jaan scolded Chachi. And she glared at me. What? Why is she glaring at me? It's her son's fault, not mine. Did I ask him to say that? Sahil called me Inayat in front of the elders, or it was me who asked him, "Come, Sahil, do a handshake with me." It's him. He came towards me and said those nonsense things. Huh! "Ek baat toh mujhe saaf saaf samajh mein aa gayi ki yeh chachi mujhe bilkul pasand nehi karti. Aur mera jeena haram karne wali hai. Yeah Allah kis paap ki saza de rahe ho mujhe." I said to myself and the last one to Allah. ‘One thing was clear Chachi was going to make my life hell in this house. God, what have I done to deserve this hell?’ "Dadi Jaan, the generation has changed but you all are still stuck in the 70's century,” Sahil said in chill mode and sat next to Saaba. "God forbid us. Are you really from our family's blood? Look at the other children in our house; they are so well-mannered.” Dadi Jaan complained. "Pardon, Ammi. I failed to educate my children. Don't worry, I will make him reflect on his mistake." Chachi apologized and sat next to Mansha Ammi. Everyone started having their breakfast after the drama. Get used to it, Innu. Now, you have to go through this every day. "Stay away from Sahil. Got it?" Aadil said whispering near my ear. And I nodded. "Ammi, Ateef is coming back in the afternoon.”Suddenly Chachi announced something. Now who is he? I think it's her husband. "Good news. At least, he will attend the reception party of his Nephew's wedding. He always stays out of town for work. Nothing mattered to him other than work.” Dadi Jaan exclaimed with irritation. “You held the reception today?"Aadil asked in an amazed tone. Now what happened to him? "Of course, the wedding is done. The reception party's date was fixed before. What can I do about this? Do you want me to cancel it?” Baba said in a serious tone while eating. “Yes, cancel the party. I have zero interest in attending any party now.” He announced his decision and stood up from the chair to leave the dining table, but stopped at Baba's words. "Not everything depends on your mood, Mr. Aadil Waziri. Reputation also matters. We had to go through so many things because of your stubbornness. Now stop throwing tantrums. If you hadn't insisted on marrying Kainaat, then we wouldn't have had to go through all this today. It's not only you who is suffering, we all are suffering because of your stupidity.” Baba stared at my way and said with grief in his tone.“Even this innocent girl's life is ruined because of you.” “Yes, now It's all my fault. Now keep taunting me all my life for my stupidity.” Saying that in rage he strode upstairs. Baba shook his head and Ammi was looking at me. She gestured for me to go after her son. And I nodded to her, gesturing, then stood from there, leaving my breakfast in the middle. Yaar. I'm starving, and they do not let me finish my breakfast. So cruel. When I reached his room. My eyes bulged from their sockets after seeing the condition of his room. What the hell did he do with this room? Everything was spreading all over the floor. He was standing on the balcony, so I went there. "Aadil," I called out for him. But in an instant, he turned and pinned me against the wall, choking me. "All this is happening because of your sister. If your sister wouldn't have run away from the wedding then I wouldn't have to marry you. And I wouldn't have to see your jinx face. I wouldn't have to face all these tauntings. You two sisters are solely responsible for my condition. May Allah never forgive you both. Even if Allah forgives you, I will never forgive you.” His eyes were blazing with fire. And his body was shaking with rage. I was shaken by his actions. I was trying to free myself from his grip. But it was impossible for me. He was holding my neck so tightly as he was going to kill me at this instant. I was feeling like I was going to die today. Tears were flowing from my eyes without any break. I fell down when he released his hand from my neck. I choked and took heavy breaths to get some air. I was feeling suffocated. My heart was pounding heavily. “For God's sake, get out of here with this wretched face of yours. Otherwise, I don't even know what I will do to you. Just get lost.” He roared, and I crept toward the wall in fear. I was hell-scared. To save myself from that Devil. I ran away from there. “Has he lost his mind? Why did you do this to me, Allah? What have I done to deserve this hellhole? I thought I was going to die today. I saw death before my eyes. I almost touched the door of death today.” I murmured, while sitting on the swing of the garden. I was crying more and more when I imagined that scary scene. "Bhabhi jaan." I heard a voice. Wiping my tears with the back of my palm, I turned back and found Saaba standing there. Now what does she want? “Oh, God! Bhabi, you are crying?” She ran towards me and sat next to me. I shook my head not to give her the reply. I know, if I opened my mouth to say something, then I wouldn't be able to stop myself from crying. “How come you have this mark on your neck?” She gasped and started panicking after seeing my neck. Which definitely turned into red marks left by his fingers. I shut my eyes to calm myself down and also prepared myself to face the matter. "It's an allergy. It happens because of the jewellery I wore yesterday at the wedding. It left rashes on my skin now.” I said to her, but seeing her face, she wasn't convinced by that. Beyond that she didn't say anything further related to that matter. To divert my mind she took me inside with her. She told me that Ammi had instructed her to take me to the parlor. Because today was the reception party. There my husband was behaving like a mad bull. And here they were making me ready for the Reception party.“Inayat, I know Aadil made a mistake. Can’t you forgive him?” Mansha Begum’s voice carried hope and helplessness.Aadil’s parents had arrived in Delhi early that morning. They hadn’t even rested properly. The moment Aajiya informed her mother about the divorce, they couldn’t sit still. They had to see their daughter.Because that’s what Inayat had become to them.A daughter.“Mummy, please don’t force me,” Inayat said softly, but firmly. “I have made my decision. I’m not changing it.”Mansha Begum moved closer and held her hands. “We never treated you differently. We always saw you as our own child. For our sake… can’t you give him one more chance?”Those words stabbed Inayat’s heart. For your sake.It would have been easier if they had blamed her. If they had accused her.But they were pleading. And that made it harder.“Please don’t do this to me, mummy,” Inayat’s voice trembled. “You all loved me so much. I will always be grateful for that. But I can’t continue this marriage. If yo
Inayat stood on the balcony, her fingers gripping the railing as she stared at the dark sky. The night was quiet, but her heart was anything but quiet.Footsteps approached softly. Aajiya came and stood beside her. For a long moment, neither of them spoke. The silence wasn’t awkward and heavy. Then Aajiya broke it gently. “Do you love him?”The question pierced deeper than she expected. Inayat’s throat tightened. If Aajiya were just her friend, she would have poured everything out without hesitation. But now… she was Aadil’s sister. Was she asking her as her friend or as his sister? Inayat couldn’t tell.Seeing her hesitation, Aajiya sighed softly, understanding her inner turmoil. “I’m asking you as your friend, Innu,” she said warmly. “We’re not just friends. We’re sisters. Yes, I’m Aadil’s sister… but what we share is stronger than that. You can tell me what’s in your heart. Maybe I can help you choose.”Inayat slowly turned to look at her. She searched her face carefully. And she
“You killed her?!” both Inayat and Aajiya exclaimed in shock.Aadil didn’t flinch.“Yes,” he replied, his tone steady. “I did.”“And that too so mercilessly?” Inayat’s voice trembled, not with fear, but with disbelief. “You’re talking about murder as if it was justified!”“She tried to kill my sister!” Aadil shot back, his calm finally cracking. “She destroyed my family. What was I supposed to do? Garland her with flowers?”“That doesn’t give you the right to take someone’s life!” Inayat snapped. “You don’t get to play God just because you’re angry!”Aajiya clutched her head faintly. “Stop… please stop…” she whispered. “I don’t remember any of this… but hearing it feels suffocating.”Aadil immediately softened at her reaction. “Baji… you don’t have to stress. I did what I had to do. For you.”“For me?” she repeated, tears forming again. “Or for your revenge?”The question hit harder than any slap.Inayat’s eyes locked onto Aadil’s.“Revenge never ends anything,” she said coldly. “It o
Two days later…Inayat was busy working on her laptop when the doorbell suddenly rang.“Azu, see who’s at the door!” she called out from her room, but there was no response.“Ugh! I’ll have to check it myself,” she muttered in frustration as she stood up and walked toward the door. She unlocked it and pulled it open and froze. It felt like she had received a 440-volt shock. Standing right in front of her was Aadil. Her fingers tightened around the edge of the door.“What are you doing here?” Inayat asked immediately, her voice firm but her heart was pounding uncontrollably inside her chest.“I came to see you. I need to talk to you,” Aadil said politely, though there was urgency in his eyes.“But I don’t want to talk to you. So get lost.” Saying that, Inayat tried to slam the door shut. But Aadil quickly pressed his hand against it, stopping it from closing.“Please, Inayat… let me clear the misunderstanding between us,” he pleaded.“There is no misunderstanding between us,” she shot
Aadil was badly injured, though thankfully not in critical condition. There were no internal injuries. They had tortured him brutally, first whipping him, then burning his palms, tearing out some of his nails. They had beaten his legs mercilessly, yet by some miracle, he hadn’t suffered any fractures. They brought him to the same hospital where Aazan and Inayat were being treated. Compared to Aadil, Aazan had been lucky, only a bullet wound to the arm. After surgery, he was out of danger and steadily improving. Inayat’s condition was far worse, she had taken three bullets. She was still unconscious. The wounds were not only physical; she was emotionally drained, her willpower shaken. Perhaps that was why her recovery was taking longer than expected. The moment they learned he had been admitted, Aadil’s family rushed to the hospital. For three days, they had searched desperately after his abduction. Now his father, mother, brother, and cousin sister stood beside his bed, their rel
“Sir, Ibrahim Qureshi has killed two of our agents in Afghanistan. What do we do now?” one of the officers said anxiously. The conference room of RAW headquarters was heavy with tension. Chief Sankar leaned back in his chair, his face grim.“Sir, let me handle this,” Aazan spoke up firmly. “I’ll go this time.”“No,” the Chief replied sharply. “It’s extremely risky. And I don’t think the Minister will approve this mission. We need to wait.”“No, sir, we cannot wait,” Aazan countered. “He has already sent a threatening message. If we delay, he’ll kill the remaining two agents as well. Ibrahim took them because Inayat killed his right-hand man. None of this would have happened if Inayat hadn’t killed Yasir Haider.”One officer glared openly at Inayat after saying that.Inayat sat silently, her head bowed. She knew she had acted in rage. Now she was feeling guilty for doing that. She knew she had broken protocol. And now because of her two agents were dead, and two more were being held a
