Emma stood across from me with that smug smile playing on her lips like she had all the care in the world.

"Surprise."

I couldn't move, not even speak. I couldn’t do anything but stare at the face that was mine and not mine.

We just stayed there, eyes locked on each other—

Then, she spoke again, her tone light. “Well, don’t just stand there—it’s your party Mei!”
