Chapter 14: Unsettled Mind

George's POV

“What did you find?” I asked the man who just interrupted my meeting with a beta from another pack. When Felix informed me that they were back, I was eager to hear the news they had come to share, so I paused my meeting with Beta Bryan.

“My lord, we searched the pack and the neighboring packs. She is nowhere to be found. We have a feeling that she has gone back to Red Sky Pack.” One of them bowed.

My hand moved before my mind could comprehend what I wanted to do. One minute, the guard was on one knee before me, and the next minute, he was five steps away from me.

“You came to report this to me?!” I asked in anger.

Felix came to stand beside me, and I clenched my jaws. His eyes said it all; it wasn't their fault that Kyra was nowhere to be found. It's my fault. I believed the woman whom the goddess had given to me as a mate.
