SONIA’S POV.
Once we were a safe distance from my kingdom, I nudged his wolf, but he ignored me, so I tugged at his fur more forcefully, causing him to growl in irritation. He stopped running, letting me jump down from his large wolf form.I adjusted my wedding gown before bowing down as a sign of respect to the Lycan King and also for helping me out of my kingdom."Thank you for saving me, but I can find my way," I said firmly, my head still lowered.Michael shifted into his human form and spoke, his voice commanding. "Look at me, Sonia.”I looked up to find him standing there, completely naked. His body was a work of art sculpted and adorned with scars, both large and small. Each scar told stories of battles fought and won. But what drew my attention the most was the intricate tattoo covering his left hand.I tore my gaze away from his body; I noticed his intense stare as if he could see through me.“What did you say, Cherry?” Michael’s voice was low, sending shivers down my spine.“I said I want to find my way from here,” I replied, maintaining my composure.Michael stepped forward, closing the distance between us until we were only a few inches apart.“Can you at least put some clothes on?” I said, feeling the heat rise in my cheeks. Despite being exposed to many naked men during my training, I had never been so flustered by someone’s nudity before. He smirked and gently lifted my chin with his hand, forcing me to meet his gaze. “Why does it bother you?”I frowned. “It’s just common courtesy to dress appropriately,” I scolded. “Don’t you have any atoms of good manners?”Michael chuckled at my response.“Where I come from, good behavior is overrated. I was a spoiled, troublesome child for a reason,” he admitted with a smile.I shook my head in irritation. “And you were also annoying. Even now, you are still the same old Michael – causing trouble wherever you go.”He scoffed. “Aren't you being a little ungrateful? I just saved you from your biggest nightmare.”“Anyway,” he continued, “seeing as you are incredibly bothered by my handsomeness, I should put on some clothes before you faint from my overwhelming sexiness,” he teased, his smirk widening.“Always so full of yourself,” I muttered under my breath.Michael's guards stepped forward, presenting him with an expensive robe which he draped over his body.“You are coming with us,” he stated firmly.“No, I am not,” I declared, crossing my arms together.“And where would you go? You hardly know anywhere beyond your home and your school,” he remarked.I hated how he was right. I had spent the last sixteen years in a boarding school nestled in the mountains, far away from civilization. While I had learned about all the kingdoms and their Alpha, it was all theoretical knowledge, confined to textbooks and paintings.“I’m sure I will manage to find somewhere to stay in the meantime before I come back to reclaim my pack,” I replied, trying to sound confident.Michael studied me for a moment before speaking. “Let’s say I agree to let you go. You won’t survive out there on your own. There are many rogues who prey on innocent ladies like you.”I frowned, hating that he still thought of me as weak. “You seem to forget I am not the same girl from sixteen years ago. All my years of training weren’t for nothing. I can take care of myself just fine.”“Cherry, I don’t doubt that you can take care of yourself,” he said softly, stroking my cheek, “but I will be worried if you are away from me.”“Then don’t worry,” I replied, stepping away from his touch and walking away.“Sonia, please come with me. I’ll protect you, I promise. And when the time comes, I will help you reclaim your kingdom,” Michael said, holding my hands.“I don't trust you, and I have been disappointed by the men in my life. They have proven to be untrustworthy,” I said sadly.Michael leaned forward, his breath brushing against my neck as he whispered softly, sending chills down my spine. “The men in your life might have disappointed you, but I’m different, Cherry. I will give you my loyalty,” he promised.“So what do you say?” he asked with pleading eyes.Could I dare to trust him? Could I allow myself to rely on someone else again? With a deep breath, I turned to face him fully. “Thanks for the offer, but I prefer to find my own path,” I replied softly.“Okay, Cherry. I guess this is goodbye,” he said with a smile.I nodded and turned to leave. After a few steps, I turned back, half expecting Michael to stop me, but he merely watched me in silence. I sighed in relief when suddenly I felt a sharp sting at the base of my neck. I instinctively reached back and found a small dart protruding from my skin. I removed the dart and turned to see one of Michael’s guards still holding the blowgun close to his mouth.I instantly became weak, and my body was paralyzed. My eyes widened in shock when I realized what was happening—I was being drugged with a sedative. I collapsed, but just before I touched the ground, Michael rushed to my side, carrying me in his strong arms.“I’m sorry, my cherry, but I can’t let you go,” Michael’s voice echoed, his words sending a chill down my spine. “You belong to me now, Sonia.”I tried to protest, but my voice failed me. Helpless and paralyzed, I could only glare at him before Slipping into darkness.SONIA’S POV. My eyes fluttered open, and this time, I found myself lying under a tree. I turned to see Michael giving orders to his men. I shifted, placing my hand on my pounding head."You woke up just in time," Michael said as he strolled over to me.I frowned. "What's wrong with you? Kidnapping me is a serious crime, don't you know that?" I hissed."Shhhh... cherry," he hushed, squatting down and placing a finger on my lips. "This isn't the time to unleash all your anger on me. You need to conserve your strength. The drug is potent," he said gently, as if speaking to a child."If you hadn't shot me, I wouldn't be in this state," I scolded. He shrugged. "You are right, but it was the only way to bring you along.""And what makes you think I won't run away once I regain my strength?" I said, crossing my arms."Let me worry about that later," he sighed before standing up. "My men are out in the woods to find meat for us. We bought a couple of wines along, so we'll be able to have a d
SONIA’S POV. It was almost two hours after I drugged him. The bonfire had been extinguished, so I knew most of his guards were sleeping."Michael," I called out, tapping him multiple times, but he remained fast asleep and unaware of his surroundings. I removed his dagger from his side. It was finely crafted and must have cost a fortune. "Thank you. I will return it when I can," I muttered under my breath.A satisfied smile crossed my lips as I prepared to depart. Carefully, I crept away, ensuring not to disturb the sleeping guards or draw any unwanted attention to myself. Finally, out of sight, I broke into a swift but silent sprint, eager to put as much distance between us as possible.Suddenly, the bushes rustled loudly, and I could sense their presence; someone was watching me."Show yourself," I commanded, my hand instinctively reaching for my dagger.A figure emerged from the bush, but instead of preparing for a confrontation, they bowed respectfully before me. I quickly recogni
SONIA’S POV.I was bound by the hands like a prisoner as we made our way to the Lycan King's territory. Michael had not spoken to me since last night, and it made me uncomfortable. I wonder what was on his mind; was he going to punish me or, worse, kill me? He wouldn't kill me, right? After all, I had saved him when my pack guards tried to kill him and sacrificed my own chances of going back home. I had a higher chance of being forgiven when I ran away from the wedding, but now, the prospect of my family or pack accepting me seemed nearly impossible."Are you not going to say anything to me?" I asked, unable to bear the awkward silence any longer."Say something about what?" he responded calmly, still avoiding eye contact.I sighed. "About last night? Are you going to talk about it?" I pressed."No. There is nothing for me to discuss," he replied nonchalantly. But his response did not satisfy me. I wondered what was going on in his mind. I have heard tales of his cruelty and merciless
SONIA'S POV. I heard a knock on my door. "Go away," I yelled, hiding under the covers. But the knock did not cease. After a while, the door opened, and someone went to open the curtains, letting sunlight flood in. I whined, reluctantly opening my eyes to see who had disturbed my beauty sleep.Turning, I saw an older woman standing a few inches away from my bed."I want to be left alone," I hissed."Forgive me, Your Majesty, but I am afraid I can't do that. The Lycan King requests that we be of service to you," she answered politely."Uhn? What do you mean?" I asked, blinking sleepily as I sat upright on my bed.She clapped her hands once, and like clockwork, several maids entered the room, each carrying an array of items. One held a basket filled with bottles of essential oils, while another carried a bundle of soft, fluffy towels. The rest brought trays of carefully folded clothes, fresh linens, and various other amenities fit for royalty. They wasted no time, dragging me out of bed
SONIA’S POV. It has been the most ten long, agonizing days of my life since Michael left, and I'm starting to feel like I'm going crazy. The castle walls are closing in on me, and I'm desperate for some fresh air and freedom, just like every prisoner would. I've spent most of my time cooped up in my room, reading books and chatting with almost every maid to pass the time. But today, I decided I'd had enough. I needed to get out and explore the territory. I finally got out of bed and headed straight to the kitchen, hoping to find something to eat before going out. "I want freshly made apple juice." "Yes, ma'am," the head maid replied, bowing her head. Miranda reminded me of a childhood friend, although they were nothing alike. Candice was much younger, for one, tall, voluptuous, and blond. But it went beyond the physical differences; Candice was softer, gentler. It didn't matter; I got the same warm feelings from Miranda that he got from my childhood friend. It was very upsetting,

Michael's pov I watched Sonia from afar, she stood in the midst of everyone. Taking a deep steadying breath, she lifted her arms gracefully above her head, waited for the first note of the flute and prayed the guys accomplished their mission. I couldn't believe she would do this all in the name of entertaining herself, this only indicated I should be more strict with her.As the music began, the bells on her ankles tinkled in the cool summer night, a delicate suggestion of exotic seraglios, of submissive women and carnal pleasures. And she moved across the small stage in a gentle swaying rhythm, her smile promising heavenly delights, every man's attention riveted on her. Her lashes lifted seductively, she twirled to clamorous applause and over the heads of her audience she saw me slip through the back door of the house. She danced then, an age-old dance of seduction and allure, her body offering intemperate passion, her small bare feet gliding over the rough lumber as if it were the
Sonia's pov "Michael, I need to leave this castle. I can not breath in here!" I said for the seventh time, hoping he would at least respond. With uttering a word he kept on walking. He didn't stop, or even slow down. He just kept walking away as if he hadn't even heard me.I was shocked. No man had ever ignored me that way before. Amazed, then with a rush of determination, I lifted my skirts and stumbled after him. "Wait! Please wait!"That stopped him. He turned, thrusting out one hard hip and resting his weight on the wall. He waited.I paused when I was still a good distance from him. There was no expression on his face. Nothing. And the way his hips were cocked, so arrogantly. Frowning, I came forward so I would not have to shout, but remained far enough away to dodge him if need be. "Excuse me." I tried out a brilliant smile, but there was no response."Could you at least just let me out of the castle?" He stared. When he did not respond, I grew uncomfortable and began to have s
