AMBER’S POV

It turned out that I had been right when I thought that I was being followed by the guards that had chased me the other day. When I first noticed them they had been walking around and watching what I was doing but today it seemed they had a mission. Word on the street was that the kind was back from a business meeting and I assumed that was the reason it was so important to these idiots to catch me they probably wanted to make it looked like they had been busy with something and all at my expense. I knew that they would eventually catch me but I wasn’t about to make catching me easy for them. i had managed to evade them ever since i realised that they were following me and i intended to keep that up

When I first heard that the king was back I was very angry because I felt like I could have accomplished much in his absence, but that was all water under the bridge he was back now and he had probably sent the guards to come and fetch me. I had already missed that opportunity
