“See me in my office,” I said to him as I walked out of his workspace.
As instructed he came into my office few minutes later, he sauntered into my office requesting me to forgive him about the conflict earlier. “Have you forgotten your manners? Why didn't you knock before entering my office?” I questioned him giving him a rigid look on my face. “I'm sorry, Um, I just wanted to apologize for what I did earlier, I couldn't bear to see you with another wolf, I'm.....” he said apologizing as I cut him short. “Would you shut up! Bear to see what?, how dare you fight an Alpha? Is that how you wolves behave in your pack?” I questioned him jolting my eyes at him. “Erica? Please go easy” I could hear Avila speaking. “Keep it down” I muttered to Avila. “Please listen to your wolf” Creed said with a mind link as I looked at him slowly. “And who are you to tell me what to do?” I responded to him. One thing about Alphas is that we don't like being controlled or being told what to do. We are the Alphas we are supposed to control everyone and not the other way around. “Now Creed listen to me, whatever happened today should not in any way repeat itself again, or else I'll put you in your place, do you understand?” I groaned at him. “Yes Erica, I mean ma'am,” he said with a shiver. Creed seemed to fear me a lot, but I don't understand why he'd always challenge me when it comes to rejecting me as his mate. “And now listen, I'm giving you 24hrs to reject me as your mate or else...” I groaned to him as he cut me short. What! Did he just...I got angry and tried to control myself. Why did I get angry? You don't Disrespect an Alpha no matter who you are. “Or else what? Erica, I'm into you, I'm not afraid of your status or any Alpha, I'm your mate, we're meant to be soul mates” he said irritating me as I shivered. “Soul mates with an Omega? Uttering such words from your mouth could get you killed do you know that? Creed! Can't you see that you're an abomination to my pack, I can't have you around me, don't you get?” I said yelling at him. “I don't care if I'm an abomination or a condemnation, I don't really care, I swear by the moon goddess that I'll never reject you as my mate no matter what and that's final” He groaned at me. “What rubbish have you uttered?” I questioned him in shock. “I don't care if you tend to see it as rubbish that's your choice but I've just told you the truth and nothing more than the truth” he responded to me. I couldn't believe he just said that, is my years of hard work finally going to go down the drain? I questioned myself as I walked slowly to my sit. “Get out!” I said to him slowly. “What?” he questioned. “I said leave my office!” I said banging my table as my eyes spun from gold to black. “Who's this scoundrel? Why did I have to come across such a dog in my life huh? It's all Aiden’s fault I shouldn't have instructed him to recruit in new workers now see the mess I've walked into” I said grumbling. “Moon goddess what do I do?” “I can't lose my rank, I've worked so hard for this, years and years of labor and nothing more, and now this wolf wants to demolish it within few minutes,” I said grumbling. Avila could possibly hear me but she didn't want to involve herself. I continued to think of several ways to get rid of Creed, I didn't want blood on my paws, I wasn't raised like that, I am an Alpha my job is to protect, my powers are to heal and cure wolves, I am meant to rescue and save not endanger. I can't allow blood on my paws. “Should I fire him?” I questioned myself. Firing creed wouldn't solve my problems he would always come back to find me, this time he may even come to the pack house and then everyone would know about him and I being mates, I can't take that risk! “Or should I abduct him and keep him hostage, that way I could think of what to do you him or Even force him to reject him, every low-ranked wolf should fear death right?” I questioned myself once more. “Erica!” I could hear Avila shout. “Avila?” I replied. “Why do you want to hurt him?” Avila asked me. “I don't, I just want to get him off my claws, You know he's an obstacle in my life” I muttered to her. “I understand that but please don't hurt him,” Avila said to me as I sensed in and exhaled. “I won't, I promise, I'll give him a little space before abducting him” I replied to her laying back on my sit. 7:34 pm twilight I headed back to the pack house to let Avila run wild and relax a little. It was 8:33 pm, I parked my car in the garage, went into the house, and changed. A few minutes later I went outside, got deep into the woods, and allow my wolf to take its form. While Avila ran pounding her paws on the soil of the earth I kept on thinking about Creed and what he had done today. The whole trance couldn't seem to leave my mind. The fact that I couldn't accept Creed as my mate got Avila more angry as she began to run even wild. It was for her own good, I couldn't push my years of labor down the drain. I had to control her and shift back so I could go back to the pack house to relax for the next day of work.Aiden’s POV:I stood stiffly near the door, arms crossed, watching the the truck vanish.“She shouldn’t have come here,” i muttered.Malric finally turned back to me. “Where is your Alpha?”I blinked. “Erica?”“Unless you’ve got a spare one hiding in the garden.”My brow furrowed. “She left this morning. Said she had something to handle up north. Didn’t say what.”Malric’s face stayed unreadable. “Alone?”“She said it was an ‘Alpha duty.’ She didn’t take any guards and even when I tried she wouldn’t let me go.”“Hm.”I hesitated, then exhaled sharply. “She’s been off since the ball. Quiet. Shut in. Moving weirdly,Snapping at people. She hasn’t slept at her chambers since after the ball too.”Malric looked toward the horizon again. The sun was setting lower now and long shadows stretched across the forest.“I feel it,” he said finally, voice low.“Feel what?” I asked.“A bad thing,” Malric said simply. “I need to see her urgently.”“What kind of bad thing?”Malric gave no answer. Just
The tires crunched over the gravels as the Packs SUV rolled into woods. The drive through woods was slow and heavy. Each sector blurred into the next…woods, rocky paths, old dens and so on.I knocked on doors of each territories. Asked questions. Some wolves shrugged, some promised to ask around, some just gave her that pitying look which I hated more than anything. No one had seen him. We checked a broken fence along the East Ridge. Nothing. We even passed the creek where Creed used to fish as a kid. Still nothing. Where could it be, I was loosing all my strength. Then finally, we reached the last place. Erica’s Pack Terittory. A big estate situated in the middle of the woods, quiet, luxurious and calm, I had always heard how big the estate is but I’ve never been here before and it seems their fact wasn’t exaggerated enough because it’s bigger than how I was told it was. I climbed out of rhe SUV, counting my steps and made my way to the front door, it was big and giganti
Jimmy stepped forward, arms crossed, he gave a stupid smug look on his face like he had the nerve to judge me.“Why do you care if he lives?” he asked. “Didn’t you want him gone? An omega for a mate? That was the joke, right?”I lunged at him so fast he hit the wall. I had him by the throat, my eyes flickering gold and then back to black.“I DON’T KNOW!” I growl. “Okay? I don’t fucking know!”His feet kicked uselessly against the floor.“I didn’t want this bond,” I snarled. “I didn’t want him. But I can’t…I can’t feel anything without him right now. And I hate it. I hate that he matters. I hate that he’s mine.”I let Jimmy drop to the ground, coughing and gasping.Silence covered the room. All I could hear was Jimmy stupid breaths. “You can’t use that shadow healer, you know that right? It’s a curse and you’ll get banished if caught”I was knee deep in dead ends staring down at Creed’s barely-breathing body like I was supposed to know how to fix this.At this point I was frustrated
Erica’s POVI ran down the stairs, or should I say flew down because I couldn’t feel my feet touching the floor or maybe I just missed a step or some steps, I don’t know. Everything inside me felt like it was collapsing as I screamed without sound. The phone call still rang in my head, all I could hear echoing in my head was“He’s not breathing right,” “He may be dead, Alpha.”Creed, dead?Fucking Creed. I’d planned to kidnap him, not kill him. That wasn’t the goddamn deal.I hit the ending of the stairs nearly crashing into the railing as I turned the corner. “Erica!”I heard a voice, low and firm, I froze cold yet I could feel sweat drip from my face, “oh moon goddess” i muttered as I turned. It was Aiden, I looked at him relieved. He stepped into the hall like he always does, calm and composed. His brows drawn tight, his posture rigid.“Where are you going?” he asked. Not angry. Not suspicious. Just… watching me.I didn’t have time for this.“I need you to take over at the offi
The ball began and everyone began to dance with their partners. While I sat and watched I felt a strange grip around my shoulders with a handsome voice “love to join me my baby girl?” I turned around to see who was that and it was “Dinerooooo!” I screamed hugging him back. “You silly wolf, you're back and you didn't let me know about it?” I said still giving him a hug. “I wanted to Suprise you,you know? I was invited here and told that all the alphas would be here so I called to find out if you would be coming and of course you did” he said with a grin on his face.“Oh dinero I missed you a lot” I said pinching his chubby cheeks“Of course you should” he chuckled, “may we have this dance?” he said gesturing his hand towards the dancing floor and we began to dance, it all felt like a fairy tale as the blue Cinderella lights shun upon us.*********I panicked out of my sleep to find my phone’s ringing again. “Of course, what else is going to disturb my peace by 6am in the morning”
One of the other rogues panicked. "We weren't supposed to kill him! The Alpha will kill us!"“The Alpha?” I questioned myself trying to stop the gushing blood from coming out.Jimmy shrugged. "Don't worry about it. Let's just get him out of here."They quickly stuffed me into a sack, and I was lifted off the ground. As they carried me away, I heard a voice shouting behind us."Halt! What do you have there?"One of the Crystal White Pack's gammas, Lucas, had caught up to us."Just a statue, gamma," one of the rogues replied. "We're taking it to the ball for repairs."Lucas narrowed his eyes. "At this hour? And in a sack?"The rogue hesitated. "It's... uh... delicate. We can't let it get damaged the more."Lucas frowned. "I want to see this statue."“Gamma, gamma, we've been sent by the alpha and he needs us to repair this quick, you're wasting our time” one of the rogues said as I tried to make sounds to get his attention.“What was that sound? Did it…”“Uh…..Its me….. gamma, I was…..
