CHAPTER SIXTEEN: PAIN HAS A NEW NAME

Flashes of his father’s face repeatedly ran through his brain. The picture was similar , Dr Grant, on the white glass floor tiles with his hands clutched to his stomach trying to hold back some severe bleeding!

He grunted in pain as he lay there helplessly. It was evident that he was trying hard to Stay conscious.

“Dr Grant!” Ronald called as he rushed to hold the poor doctor whose eyes looked pale, like he was loosing touch with the real world.

In the large room, everything was white - the bed sheets , the curtains, the floor, the lights. Only the furniture was brown, and of course, the blood stains at several points in the room, indicating Dr Grants struggles to stop the bleeding before he started falling into shock.

“Dr Grant! Sir!... Stay with me! “ Ronald continued tapping his cheeks.

No answer, only noisy breathing
