Another lengthy chapter!
FINN ROMANOV Roman was looking at me, her gaze softening even more with every second that passed. I could feel myself getting nervous with every second that passed, awaiting a response from her and yet hoping that she would just laugh it off and call me ridiculous. "You are not over me" Kate whispered. "Isn't that so obvious? I know that. I am not over you, Kate"Her eyes blinked a few times. Our faces were now close, just a little bit of leaning in and I would kiss those pretty lips of hers. I would taste her again and this time for longer so I will be able to recall her taste and feel for much longer. "I... I am not completely over you too, Ro..." I didn't let her complete her words before I crashed my lips on hers. She gasped softly as I kissed her but she immediately kissed me back, a hand moving into my hair and my hand moving around her waist, pulling our bodies closer. Oh dear, I was fucked up. Completely and happily fucked up. I bit down her lower lip softly and she nibb
CAILY GALILEO I was in the living room, knitting, my laptop on the sofa, just right next to me. I had finished up with the proposal about an hour or two ago and I had hurriedly brought out the knitting materials and quickly set to work. Right now, I was knitting some socks. It was getting chilly lately so it would be completely sensible to give him knitted socks. It would be so much warmer, right?Every now and then, a small smile would play on my lips and yet every now and then, my brows would pull together in worry but I'd assure myself that Pietro would not want me to worry about these things and worrying would also not do our child good and then I'd kick the worry out of my head for a few minutes. But how much at bay could I keep it? Right now, I should be out, at his office and I trusted Pietro. I trusted his love more than I trusted my own life and from knowing and trusting his love, I knew he would have me with him everywhere he went off to, if he could. I sighed softly, th
FINN ROMANOV It's been four days since I last went to see Kate. Four days since I lost it and kissed her. Thankfully, very thankfully, we succeeded in not going further than kissing. A bit of touching here and there and we were able to stop. Quietly, without another word, I had led her back to the chair, tied her back in but made sure the ropes weren't pressing into her bruises when I did. And now, four days later, I was trying to convince myself not to go see her. I was already in the same building, taking care of something for boss but I was trying to restrain myself from going to see Roman because I didn't want that night repeating itself.Oh, maybe I did want that night repeating itself but at the same it just couldn't happen. It was better to keep that night as a mistake, one that would never happen again. And to keep the mistake from reoccurring, I should stay away from her until the day I get the orders to get rid of her but right now, with my legs pushing me forward with e
Three Days Later CAILY GALILEO It's been three days and oh heavens, it's been three days of absolute bliss. Being treated like I am the only woman in the world, like the entire cares of the world was meant for me alone. And meanwhile, I was trying to learn something too. If Pietro went ahead to learn wood sculpting because of me, I could learn something too, make him something crafty that would remind him of me. I had been trying hard to think but couldn't decide on a particular thing to learn. Painting? Knitting? Wood sculpting itself? Pottery?I simply couldn't decide on what to pick. Knitting would be the easiest since I knew how to knit already but I also didn't want something too easy. I wanted something that would require much of my time and my devotion but I was already leaning towards knitting him gloves, scarfs and socks whilst learning something else. That way, I could have lots of mini gifts for him and top it with whatever I ended up learning. "What are you doing up
MATRIOX I threw the glass in my hand against a wall, the crashing noise doing nothing but infuriating me even more. I rose up from my chair and walked over to where three of my men stood. I grabbed one by the collars aggressively, the fury in my eyes pouring. "That bastard thinks too highly of himself, doesn't he?" I asked furiously but he just remained static, not saying a word of reacting to my fury. I let him go roughly, sending him staggering a few steps back before he fell back in line. "Do you know how hard I worked for everything I have now? How crazy I had to become? How I had to slowly shed every bit of humanity that I had, just to get here?!" I raged. "But that's the biggest difference between us. He... That bastard didn't even have to become crazy, he was born crazy. He didn't have to slowly shed every bit of humanity, he was born without humanity and instead has to slowly learn humanity! He was... He was born a beast! But why should I be inferior? Ugh?!" I grabbed th
PIETRO GIACOMETTI I held her hand in mine as we walked through the old mansion, my finger brushing the ring in beg finger over and over again. The feeling was threatening to rip me apart. My insides were threatening to rip out, from the pounding in my chest. Mine. Mine. Mine. She belonged to me now. She was mine. All mine. I squeezed her hands a little too tightly for a second. "Do I really have to have the blindfold on? Where exactly are we going to?" She asked me, her soft voice reminding of how much of a win I had made today. "Soon, we will be there, Love" I led her through the darkness until we were standing right in front of a tree. We stopped and Caily looked up at the soft rays of the crescent moon up in the sky. Her pretty face illuminated by the moonlight was enough for me to grab her close and kiss her. The kiss was sudden, just as sudden as the pounding in my heart. It was pounding so hard that I felt I could actually have an heart attack. How could she have such eff
