River's POV

I sat down in the litigation bar watching the exceptional young girl in the witness box being questioned by Mr Brown.

She had just turned eighteen and wanted full custody of my little sister from her aunt the legal guardian who was neglecting them.

Mr Brown asked all the right questions and the judge was obviously leaning towards their side of the case. As it was a family matter, the judge announced that he will deliver his verdict in an hour as he doesn't like to delay family cases of custody.

The court went in recess, I turned to look at the supposed aunt of the two lovely girls who obviously just wanted them so she could keep gaining access the massive trust fund her late sister left for her daughters.

The woman had an aura around her that made you want to gag, with her heavy silver eyeshadow and shocking pink lipstick. She wore a white pant suit that fit her like a glove, the blazer buttons looked like they were about to burst at anytime.
