JULIAN

"Rowan?" Maya gasped, jumping out of her seat. "What are you doing here?"

Rowan didn't look at her. His eyes were pinned entirely to mine, his fists clenching so hard at his sides that his whole body was shaking.

"Get out. Maya, get your things. We're leaving. Now."

"Rowan, what is wrong with you?!" Maya demanded, her voice rising. "Julian is just here for tutoring!"

"I said get your fucking things, Maya!" Rowan roared.

She flinched, tears of shock springing to her eyes. She grabbed her bag, shoving her books inside with trembling hands, and bolted out of the room past him without another word.

The moment her footsteps faded into the distance, Rowan slammed the glass door shut, locking it from the inside with a sharp click. He turned on me, his face twisted into an expression of pure, murderous hatred, and lunged forward.

"I told you!" he screamed, his hands crashing into my chest, trying to shove me back.

"I told you to stay away from her!"

I didn't even try to fight his grip. I grabbed his wrists, twisted them, and violently swung his massive frame around, slamming his back down against the heavy wooden study table. The impact rattled the desk, but I crowded him instantly, forcing his thighs apart with my knee and pinning his upper body down with my weight.

"Still trying to play the hero, Captain?" I hissed, my voice dropping into that dark register.

Instead of backing down, I leaned in closer, my chest pressing heavily against his. I could feel his heart hammering like a trapped bird. I dropped my hand down, not to rip open my clothes, but to deliberately slide my palm over his waist, gripping his belt loops and pulling his hips flush against my thigh. The sudden, rigid tension in his lower half betrayed him instantly. He was already hard.

"Look at you," I slurred, a cruel smirk pulling at my lips as I felt the tight, unyielding ridge of his erection press directly against my leg.

"Your sister is just down the hall, Rowan. She thinks you're a god. She doesn't know you're pinned to a library table, pitching a tent for the rookie who’s going to ruin your life."

"Julian... please," he whimpered, his hands gripping my shoulders. His fingers dug into the fabric of my hoodie, but he wasn't pushing me away. If anything, his hips gave a pathetic, subconscious twitch forward, seeking the heavy, solid pressure of my knee locked between his thighs. He was completely unraveled.

I didn't let him escape the shame of it. I leaned down lower, burying my face in the crook of his neck, inhaling the scent of his sweat and panic. I kept my weight heavy, grounding my hips down just enough to make him feel the relentless friction of our layers. I slid my hand slowly up his chest, my fingers splaying over his collarbone, feeling the frantic pulse in his throat.

"You like this, don't you?" I whispered aggressively against his skin, my voice a dark promise that made his shoulders shiver.

"You like the danger of it. You like being trapped right where she was standing. You're a sick, depraved hypocrite, Rowan. Pretending to protect her when you can barely control yourself around me."

"Yes," he gasped out, his eyes tightly shut as he tilted his head back against the wood, completely desperate for the suffocating proximity. He was entirely at my mercy, his chest heaving as he fought the sheer, overwhelming arousal of having his rival dominate him in a room where his sister’s perfume still lingered in the air.

"Julian... stop... please..."

But his body was telling a completely different story. Every time I shifted my weight, his breath caught, his hips hitching slightly as if begging for the very contact he was pleading to stop. I slid my hand up to his chin, forcing his face up so he had to look at me. I wanted him to see the utter contempt and hunger in my mismatched eyes.

"You want me to stop?" I mocked, my thumb pressing hard against his lower lip. "Or do you want me to show Maya exactly what her perfect brother looks like when he's begging?"

Rowan’s eyes went wide, a shuddering breath escaping him as he realized just how deep of a hole he had dug for himself. He was completely paralyzed by the psychological grip I had on him. He wanted to fight, but the physical reaction of his own body was betraying his every defense. He was completely ruined, hovering on the absolute edge of composure.

The sharp, sudden sound of security keys jingling drew closer down the aisle of bookshelves. A bright, white flashlight beam sliced through the darkness, bouncing off the glass wall of our study room.

"Hello? Anyone in here? Library's closing," a gruff security guard's voice called out from just a few yards away.

Rowan froze, his eyes snapping open in absolute horror. The flashlight beam began to swing directly toward our glass enclosure, threatening to illuminate the captain of the hockey team pinned to a table, fully aroused and trapped beneath the rookie.

"Julian, please…” Rowan choked out, a genuine, terrified plea in his eyes as he tried to pull away, panic finally overriding his arousal.

I didn't let go. I tightened my grip on his collar, keeping my knee heavy and unyielding between his thighs, keeping him pinned to the table. I leaned in until my lips brushed his ear, whispering a final, brutal threat.

"Don't make a sound, Captain. Unless you want him to see what you really are."

The guard's footsteps stopped right outside the door. The handle jiggled.
