Emily walked into the sitting room to meet her family seated and waiting for her. "Good evening, Father and Mother, hello Samantha" she greeted everyone but was met with silence.Stopping, she looked at their faces, and seeing how mean they appeared, she decided to find her way to her room. They were unarguably ready for trouble, and since she was just returning from work, she needs to rest a little before attending to her chores. Oscar Lee stumped his foot angrily on the ground as he watched Emily leave without bending to their will.Not for once did he ever imagine that it would turn out this way. He had pulled what to him was the perfect trick that would fetch him his heart's desire. For the first time, he had to agree that his daughter, Emily had become too hard to tame, and should that be the case, she is in no way useful to him.He felt bitter and defeated.Now his major challenge was how to discard Emily without an ounce of guilt ravaging his soul.To Oscar Lee, he has done so much for Emily, even more than was expected of him. Emily was no fool, she knew that he can do just what he said. If he said no one would be able to hurt her in his care, then no one would dare to get close to her. It was a cold morning and Emily woke up from the bed with a fright. The loud sounds and indiscreet growls had woken her, and she looked around her dark room in fear. She could hear the shouting and screams of werewolves coming from outside the house. She took her phone and checked the time, and it was past four in the morning. The noises were getting louder, and all she could do was jump out of the bed. This is an occurrence that she was already accustomed to, and it always happens when there were intruders in the pack, most especially rogues. Being indoors she could not ascertain the magnitude of the situation, and all she was sure was that there was trouble in the land, and as for how big the trouble was, she could not tell but she knew very well that it was huge enough to take her life. Emily cannot say for sure how long she had stayed in the basement or what time it is, but she had fallen asleep, and in her sleep, she had the most unpleasant nightmares all thanks to her hunger. She opened her eyes and yawned, and that was when she realized that she had woken up as a result of the sound coming from the sitting room. She tried to cease her breathing but was barely able to achieve that because as it is, she was too weak to properly direct the function of any part of her body. No soon has she woken up that the door to the basement open. She froze, but soon her head was nodding involuntarily in sleep and hunger. “Hey you, there?” Samantha’s voice was heard. “Hey, Sama...” Emily murmured with the last strength in her.
