The morning after the ritual, Selene woke with a dull ache between her thighs and a strange fire still smoldering in her blood. Her lips were bruised. Her skin buzzed with phantom touches. She touched the spot above her heart—where the faint, glowing crescent moon had shimmered the night before.

But now, it was gone.

A dream?

She shook her head.

No. Not a dream. She could still smell him on her skin—smoke, pine, and something darker. And her body remembered everything. Kael’s mouth, his hands, the way he had worshipped her and claimed her in front of the entire pack.

She didn’t know the rules of this world she was being pulled into, but something inside her had already decided.

She wouldn’t fight it.

---

Kael paced.

The earth trembled under his boots as he moved through the sacred cave beneath the mountains. His blood was fire. His wolf restless. He had gone too far. Touched her. Claimed her. And worse—marked her.

His mate.

Selene.

The mating mark had burned itself into her skin during the ritual. A crescent moon, pulsing in time with her heart. It would fade from sight… but not from their bond. She was tied to him now. Her scent had changed. Her energy… his.

And that meant one thing.

If another wolf caught her scent, they’d know she was claimed.

And they’d test him.

Or worse—try to take her.

---

Selene wandered into town that afternoon, and something was different.

People watched her. Too long. Too curious. Especially the women.

Especially Lira.

The she-wolf approached with the grace of a serpent, her silver braid gleaming like a blade against her black leather. Her ice-blue eyes raked over Selene with contempt.

“So,” Lira said, voice like velvet laced with venom. “You’re the one.”

Selene straightened. “Excuse me?”

“The one who’s stirred our Alpha’s... primal side.”

“I’m not trying to—”

“Oh, but you already have,” Lira interrupted, stepping closer. “You’ve been marked.”

Selene’s heart stopped.

Lira smirked. “You didn’t know?”

She circled Selene like a predator. “That glowing little crescent wasn’t some sweet little hickey. It was a claim. You’re bonded to him now. His scent is on you. In you.”

Selene’s stomach flipped.

Lira leaned in. “He might have touched you. But you’ll never truly be one of us.”

Selene held her ground. “Then why are you so afraid of me?”

Lira’s smile vanished.

Before she could strike with words—or claws—Kael appeared.

He was fury in motion. “Back off, Lira.”

Lira turned slowly, her voice suddenly laced with false sweetness. “Just making introductions.”

Kael stepped in front of Selene, his arm shielding her. “Try it again and I’ll tear your tongue out.”

Selene flinched. Not from fear. From the rage vibrating off his skin.

Lira bowed mockingly and slipped away into the mist.

Kael turned to her. “Are you hurt?”

“No,” she said quietly. “But… what did she mean?”

He looked at her. A long, searching gaze.

Then he took her hand and led her into the woods.

---

They reached a quiet glade, where the light filtered through the trees in soft shafts. He stopped, turned, and spoke:

“You were marked.”

Selene’s breath caught. “By you.”

“Yes. During the ritual. I didn’t mean to—it’s instinct. When a wolf finds his mate, the mark happens the first time we… touch with intention.”

Her face flushed. “You mean—”

“The way I touched you. The desire. The connection. I should’ve stopped it.”

“But you didn’t.”

“No,” he whispered. “Because I’ve waited my whole life to feel that bond. And when I kissed you, I knew. You’re mine.”

Selene stared at him, heart hammering. “Then what does it mean for me?”

“It means you’re part of me now. It means you’ll start to feel things. Hear me. Sense me. Need me. And it means…” He stepped closer. “You’ll never be safe again.”

Her throat tightened. “Why?”

“Because others will want to break the bond. To test it. To take you from me. To prove I’m not strong enough to keep what’s mine.”

He reached out, brushing her jaw.

“But I am.”

Selene leaned into his touch. “Kael…”

He growled low and pulled her against him. Their lips met again, softer this time—but no less urgent. His tongue tasted hers, slow and claiming. Her hands gripped his shirt, pulling him closer.

Then he broke away. “If we go any further, I won’t stop.”

She whispered, “Then don’t.”

---

They fell into the grass, lips colliding, limbs tangled. He kissed her neck, her collarbone, dragging her dress up with one hand while the other anchored her to the earth.

She moaned softly when his fingers slid beneath her lace, stroking her until her thighs trembled.

But before he could fully take her, he stopped. Breathing hard.

“No,” he whispered. “Not here. Not like this. You deserve more than a hurried claiming in the woods.”

She looked at him, lips swollen, chest rising. “But I want you.”

His voice was strained. “And I want to make you mine the right way.”

Selene nodded slowly, biting her lip.

But deep down, she already was.

---

That night, as she lay alone again, Selene felt it: a deep, invisible thread between her and Kael. It pulsed with every beat of her heart, tugging her closer to a world she hadn’t asked for.

But now, she was part of it.

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    MOONBOUND FOREVER 🌒

Three months later, the snow melted in Crimson Hollow.Spring returned with fierce beauty—wildflowers bursting through ash, rivers roaring with new strength, and wolves running under open skies once again. The forest, like its Alpha Luna, had survived the storm. And now, it was time to rise.---Selene stood at the base of the mountain trail, the map to Vireya rolled beneath her arm. The mark above her heart pulsed with purpose. Kael waited beside her, dressed in leathers and armed with twin blades strapped to his back. They weren’t just searching for a place. They were hunting a people.A future.A legacy.“The pack’s ready,” Kael said. “They’ll thrive while we’re gone.”Selene looked back at the Hollow one last time. The home she hadn’t known she needed until it wrapped itself around her soul. Then she turned forward. “Let’s find them.”---The journey was harsh—blizzards in the high passes, shadow-creatures in the old dark woods, and dreams that whispered forgotten truths.Selene’s

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    AFTER THE ASHES

The forest breathed again. For the first time in weeks, the winds were warm. The scent of death had faded, and in its place came blossoms, damp earth, and renewal. Crimson Hollow—though bruised and battle-worn—was alive. And so was Selene. She stood on the high balcony of Kael’s den, the morning sun spilling over her skin like gold paint. Below her, young wolves trained with renewed purpose. The scars of Ashar’s invasion remained—burnt trees, broken runes, fallen stones—but there was peace. And peace felt foreign.Even fragile.“Penny for your thoughts?” Kael’s voice rumbled softly behind her.Selene turned, leaning back into his chest as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Shirtless. Warm. Safe.“I keep waiting for something else to go wrong,” she murmured. He kissed the side of her neck. “That’s the curse of leadership.”“Do you regret it?” she asked. “Claiming me? Bringing me into this?”Kael pulled her tighter. “Not even for a heartbeat.”She exhaled, burying her face in the cro

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    RISE OF THE MOONBORN

The next morning dawned red.The forest groaned under the weight of dark energy. Birds no longer flew overhead. The wind smelled of blood and ancient rot. Crimson Hollow was no longer just a sanctuary—it had become a battleground waiting to ignite.Selene stood atop the Moonroot Cliff, her long white cloak billowing behind her. Her body still trembled from the magic she had absorbed. Her veins throbbed with heat, as if liquid moonlight flowed through them now. Her silver-blue eyes glowed faintly in the shadows. She wasn’t afraid.Because for the first time in her life…She knew who she was.Moonborn. Last of the Lunari. Alpha-bound. Magic-wrought.Her power had a name now. And so did her enemy.---Kael stood behind her, armor half-fastened, his golden gaze unreadable.“You don’t have to face him alone,” he said.Selene turned. “Yes, I do.”“You’re not just mine anymore,” he said. “You belong to the Hollow. They’ll look to you now.”Selene stepped close, sliding her hands over his bar

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    THE ROGUE ALPHA

The northern winds howled as the Rogue approached. He moved like shadow through the dead forest, the ground beneath him cracking with frost. His name had been lost to time—Ashar, once an Alpha king, now a curse on every surviving bloodline.Long ago, he had hunted the Lunari to extinction. And now, rumor told of one still breathing—Selene. She would be his final kill.Or his final claim.---In Crimson Hollow, the air had grown heavier. Birds no longer sang at dawn. The wolves were restless. Rowan had taken to burning old runes and whispering prayers no one had used in decades.Selene stood at the cliff’s edge, wind tearing through her hair, watching the horizon like it might split open and reveal the threat she could feel crawling toward her bones.“I know he’s coming,” she said.Kael stepped up beside her, arms crossed.“He is,” he replied. “Ashar.”The name itself was sharp in the air. Selene turned to him.“You knew?”Kael nodded grimly. “I didn’t want to believe it until Rowan co

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE     SECRET BENEATH THE SKIN

Selene sat wrapped in furs inside Kael’s private den, her legs curled beneath her, the mark above her heart still warm. Rain fell outside in heavy, rhythmic sheets, drumming against the windows like a warning. The shift had changed her. She could feel it in her bones. Her blood was hotter, her breath steadier. She could hear Kael’s heartbeat in the next room without even trying. But it wasn’t just the bond.It was something older.Something deeper than wolves or packs or blood moons.“Lunari,” Rowan had whispered the night before, after the ritual, eyes wide and reverent.Selene hadn’t understood. But now the word echoed through her thoughts like a forgotten prayer. What had they awakened?---Kael entered quietly, his presence wrapping around her like heat.He sat beside her, brushing damp hair from her face. “How do you feel?”Selene hesitated. “Different. Like... like something else is inside me now.”Kael nodded slowly. “You’re changing. Faster than anyone I’ve ever seen. The shif

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    UNDER THE BLOOD MOON

The blood moon rose, fat and crimson, bleeding across the sky like a warning.Crimson Hollow held its breath. In the forest clearing, the Nightfang Pack prepared for the oldest ritual of all—The Mating Howl. Performed once every blood moon, it was a night of transformation, raw hunger, and soul-binding for those brave enough to face the wildness inside them. And tonight… Kael and Selene would complete the bond. But this time, it wasn’t just about desire. It was about power.About identity.About a woman no longer simply human, and a man no longer simply Alpha.---Selene stood at the edge of the sacred spring, bare feet sinking into soft moss, her reflection wavering in the blood-tinged water. Her hair, now longer, fuller, glistened with hints of silver in the moonlight. Her pupils were sharp, almost feline. Her heartbeat echoed like a drum inside her ears. She was changing. The wolf inside her—if that’s what it was—stirred like it had been waiting centuries to wake. And tonight, unde
