The bus hissed to a stop, its brakes squealing in protest as the doors creaked open. Selene Hart stepped off with a battered leather bag slung over her shoulder, the scent of pine and rain wrapping around her like a forgotten lullaby. Crimson Hollow looked exactly like its name promised—ancient trees cloaked the town in shadow, their blood-red leaves crunching under her boots as twilight crept in like a secret.

She glanced around.

Quiet. Too quiet.

The small town nestled between two mountain ridges didn’t seem like much. A general store, a crooked chapel, and rows of timber-framed houses surrounded by fog. She hadn’t come here for the sights. She came to forget.

Selene’s boots echoed on the gravel as she walked toward the boarding house she'd found online—one that didn’t ask too many questions.

Mrs. Granger, the landlady, was a short, wiry woman with faded curls and eyes too sharp for comfort. She gave Selene a spare key, pointed upstairs, and offered a bland “Don’t wander too far at night.”

Selene didn’t ask why.

That night, she lay in the creaky bed staring at the ceiling. A distant howl sliced through the stillness. Not a dog. Deeper. Wilder. It curled around her spine and made her press her thighs together, startled at the warm pulse it stirred.

She shut her eyes tightly.

No. She wasn’t here for complications.

The next day, she explored the town. It wasn’t until she stepped into the market that she felt it.

The air changed.

The scent of woodsmoke and meat drifted around her, but underneath was something else—musk, earthy and dangerously male. She turned.

He stood across the square. Towering. Dressed in a black shirt rolled to his elbows, veins etched down forearms like stone. His jaw was shadowed, and his dark hair tousled like he’d just rolled out of someone’s bed. But it was his eyes—golden and unblinking—that locked her in place.

Kael Virek.

Alpha. Though she didn’t know that yet.

Their gazes held, a tug in her gut pulling her forward before she could stop it. She blinked and looked away, heart thundering.

Selene had seen beautiful men before. But not ones that looked at her like they knew her scent.

Later, she found herself in the forest trail, drawn without knowing why. Every crack of twig or flutter of wing made her spin. Dusk fell fast, and the light drained from the sky. She should have turned back—but that feeling came again.

Like someone was watching.

Breathing slowed, heart racing, she called out, “Hello?”

Nothing.

Until—

A growl. Low. Right behind her.

She turned—and saw nothing. Just trees. Mist. But her skin prickled like someone had brushed a hand down her back.

She walked faster.

And then she saw it—two glowing yellow eyes in the dark.

They blinked—and disappeared.

Back in her room, she shut the door hard and locked it. Her breaths came short, shallow. She peeled off her clothes, not bothering with modesty, and slipped into the shower. Warm water couldn’t wash away the heat building inside her—not from fear.

From something else.

She pressed her palm against the tile wall as her other hand slid between her thighs, eyes fluttering closed. That growl replayed in her mind. So did those eyes. Her body betrayed her, responding to the primal force she’d felt in the woods.

When she came undone, she bit her lip hard to keep from crying out.

Across the forest, Kael stood naked under the moonlight, steam rising from his skin as his transformation receded. The wolf had sniffed her out, followed her scent like a drug.

Selene Hart.

Not from the Hollow. But something ancient ran through her blood.

And it called to him.

Kael clenched his fists, eyes burning as he stared at the dark town below.

He should stay away.

But he wouldn’t.

Not now that he’d found his mate.

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    MOONBOUND FOREVER 🌒

Three months later, the snow melted in Crimson Hollow.Spring returned with fierce beauty—wildflowers bursting through ash, rivers roaring with new strength, and wolves running under open skies once again. The forest, like its Alpha Luna, had survived the storm. And now, it was time to rise.---Selene stood at the base of the mountain trail, the map to Vireya rolled beneath her arm. The mark above her heart pulsed with purpose. Kael waited beside her, dressed in leathers and armed with twin blades strapped to his back. They weren’t just searching for a place. They were hunting a people.A future.A legacy.“The pack’s ready,” Kael said. “They’ll thrive while we’re gone.”Selene looked back at the Hollow one last time. The home she hadn’t known she needed until it wrapped itself around her soul. Then she turned forward. “Let’s find them.”---The journey was harsh—blizzards in the high passes, shadow-creatures in the old dark woods, and dreams that whispered forgotten truths.Selene’s

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    AFTER THE ASHES

The forest breathed again. For the first time in weeks, the winds were warm. The scent of death had faded, and in its place came blossoms, damp earth, and renewal. Crimson Hollow—though bruised and battle-worn—was alive. And so was Selene. She stood on the high balcony of Kael’s den, the morning sun spilling over her skin like gold paint. Below her, young wolves trained with renewed purpose. The scars of Ashar’s invasion remained—burnt trees, broken runes, fallen stones—but there was peace. And peace felt foreign.Even fragile.“Penny for your thoughts?” Kael’s voice rumbled softly behind her.Selene turned, leaning back into his chest as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Shirtless. Warm. Safe.“I keep waiting for something else to go wrong,” she murmured. He kissed the side of her neck. “That’s the curse of leadership.”“Do you regret it?” she asked. “Claiming me? Bringing me into this?”Kael pulled her tighter. “Not even for a heartbeat.”She exhaled, burying her face in the cro

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    RISE OF THE MOONBORN

The next morning dawned red.The forest groaned under the weight of dark energy. Birds no longer flew overhead. The wind smelled of blood and ancient rot. Crimson Hollow was no longer just a sanctuary—it had become a battleground waiting to ignite.Selene stood atop the Moonroot Cliff, her long white cloak billowing behind her. Her body still trembled from the magic she had absorbed. Her veins throbbed with heat, as if liquid moonlight flowed through them now. Her silver-blue eyes glowed faintly in the shadows. She wasn’t afraid.Because for the first time in her life…She knew who she was.Moonborn. Last of the Lunari. Alpha-bound. Magic-wrought.Her power had a name now. And so did her enemy.---Kael stood behind her, armor half-fastened, his golden gaze unreadable.“You don’t have to face him alone,” he said.Selene turned. “Yes, I do.”“You’re not just mine anymore,” he said. “You belong to the Hollow. They’ll look to you now.”Selene stepped close, sliding her hands over his bar

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    THE ROGUE ALPHA

The northern winds howled as the Rogue approached. He moved like shadow through the dead forest, the ground beneath him cracking with frost. His name had been lost to time—Ashar, once an Alpha king, now a curse on every surviving bloodline.Long ago, he had hunted the Lunari to extinction. And now, rumor told of one still breathing—Selene. She would be his final kill.Or his final claim.---In Crimson Hollow, the air had grown heavier. Birds no longer sang at dawn. The wolves were restless. Rowan had taken to burning old runes and whispering prayers no one had used in decades.Selene stood at the cliff’s edge, wind tearing through her hair, watching the horizon like it might split open and reveal the threat she could feel crawling toward her bones.“I know he’s coming,” she said.Kael stepped up beside her, arms crossed.“He is,” he replied. “Ashar.”The name itself was sharp in the air. Selene turned to him.“You knew?”Kael nodded grimly. “I didn’t want to believe it until Rowan co

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE     SECRET BENEATH THE SKIN

Selene sat wrapped in furs inside Kael’s private den, her legs curled beneath her, the mark above her heart still warm. Rain fell outside in heavy, rhythmic sheets, drumming against the windows like a warning. The shift had changed her. She could feel it in her bones. Her blood was hotter, her breath steadier. She could hear Kael’s heartbeat in the next room without even trying. But it wasn’t just the bond.It was something older.Something deeper than wolves or packs or blood moons.“Lunari,” Rowan had whispered the night before, after the ritual, eyes wide and reverent.Selene hadn’t understood. But now the word echoed through her thoughts like a forgotten prayer. What had they awakened?---Kael entered quietly, his presence wrapping around her like heat.He sat beside her, brushing damp hair from her face. “How do you feel?”Selene hesitated. “Different. Like... like something else is inside me now.”Kael nodded slowly. “You’re changing. Faster than anyone I’ve ever seen. The shif

  • MOONBOUND DESIRE    UNDER THE BLOOD MOON

The blood moon rose, fat and crimson, bleeding across the sky like a warning.Crimson Hollow held its breath. In the forest clearing, the Nightfang Pack prepared for the oldest ritual of all—The Mating Howl. Performed once every blood moon, it was a night of transformation, raw hunger, and soul-binding for those brave enough to face the wildness inside them. And tonight… Kael and Selene would complete the bond. But this time, it wasn’t just about desire. It was about power.About identity.About a woman no longer simply human, and a man no longer simply Alpha.---Selene stood at the edge of the sacred spring, bare feet sinking into soft moss, her reflection wavering in the blood-tinged water. Her hair, now longer, fuller, glistened with hints of silver in the moonlight. Her pupils were sharp, almost feline. Her heartbeat echoed like a drum inside her ears. She was changing. The wolf inside her—if that’s what it was—stirred like it had been waiting centuries to wake. And tonight, unde
