CHAPTER 23

Aria

“So you have been watching me this whole time?" I responded.

"Some things are best left unsaid; go to the living room now," Catherine said, and I could not believe what she was asking me to do.

“Aria, I'm scared; what if he kills us?" White asked.

"No, he won't; we are no longer members of his pack, remember," I said.

"Wait where are you going?” Thea inquired, clutching my hand as I prepared to open the door.

"To greet Alpha Claus and his Luna," I responded.

"What? I thought you said your powers are —”

"Forget that, let's go,” I said, pulling her with me.

The more steps we made, the stronger the perfume I picked for Claus became. Just as I was about to take my final step down the stairs, Alpha Zion called my name.

“Aria, welcome; we've been waiting for you."

“Aria!" Claus and Camila said in unison when they turned around and met my eyes. I looked nothing like what they had imagined and more.

“She's still alive?" Camila whispered.

"Aria, you are alive," Claus shouted
