RUBY’S POV

My session with Dennis in the club wasn’t a long one because he also knew I would never dance for him after our first encounter. So once we were both done signing the contract, I told him of my progress with getting back with Dax and he was satisfied to know I was already working on it before we even signed the contract.

With that, he left the room first and I busied myself with cleaning up after him. When I was done, I grabbed a copy of my contract and tucked it into my brassier before I walked out of the room.

Suddenly, I bumped into someone coming toward me and the glass of wine that I held spilled. I looked up to apologize and when I saw it was Lilac, all the apology died on my tongue because I was certain she did this on purpose to cause a scene and pin the fault on me.
