RUBY’S POV

Dax didn’t say a single word to me after taking me out of Avery’s office.

All he did was pull me along with him and I was too tongue-tied to utter a single word as I followed him with so many questions swirling in my head.

Why did he pay for me exclusively for the rest of the month? Why did he bother to defend me? Most people wouldn’t care even if they witnessed the whole thing but he was different. He cared.

He suddenly opened the door to one of the private rooms and I was about to tell him it was occupied but I was too late. He had pulled me in along with him and we witnessed a client and one of the dancers kissing. He literally had his tongue down her throat while she gave him a handjob and I was too stunned to move or look away.
