FOUND TO BE DEAD.
KAI'S POV. Days after Hazel's departure... My eyes were on Vera who was lying beside me, she was asleep while I thought. "When is she coming back? It's been a few days already. Don't tell me that she was not planning on returning. Who will I vent my anger on anytime I'm mad? Who will take my shit? How will Vera be comfortable here without her?" I snorted, "She was supposed to be Vera's maid now and be my slave. She was supposed to become a wreck now that she found out about Vera and me, but I foolishly allowed her to leave. How stupid is that?" My thought was messed up by Hazel's departure. She left as bargained but had not returned as I thought, and a few days had passed. What was holding her back? I couldn't sleep a wink, I was filled with regret. Great regret. I was almost tempted to leave the pack house to search for her. Kyle, my wolf, was not making it any better. He had been strangely silent since Hazel left. I didn't care about him, though. he was just sharing my body with me; we were two different things, and he was to bow to me. Someone began to tug at my mind link. "What?!" I snapped at the person in my head. "It's time." I blocked off the voice after those words. The words were simple, but I understood them. I got out of bed, but Vera chose that moment to wake up. "My alpha, you promised to spend the whole day with me, why are you getting off the bed now?" Vera whined and I chuckled before lying back on the bed. "Yeah, I promised, but the elders are calling to me, one of them had been pulling through my mind linking, and it is beginning to feel crazy. I have to see them," I told her. She was not having it, she rolled over to me and rested her head on my chest, "I don't want you to go, I want you to stay here with me." She began with her fingers directly on my chest. Her motive was conspicuous, she wanted me. "I would have loved to stay, but I can't, they might barge in here soon and they won't be feeling so cool to see you here," I told her. She became glum, "You are not ready to show me to the elders, are you? You're ashamed of me." My face crimped. I saw no sense in what she was talking about, I almost let out a scoff, but controlled my will, I was not ready for unnecessarily long talks. "How about I get the guards to get Hazel later? They would force her back here and every time I'm not around, you will use her as you like til I return. This place is suddenly becoming so boring without the omega and I know you will love her here." That brought a smile to her pretty face. She pulled me into a happy hug, "Thank you, you're so considerate." I nodded and disengaged from the hug, "Be expecting her back here before evening, I bet she has nowhere to stay, and returning here will be a great choice for her, everyone will gain again. You will get to treat her the way you want, while she has a place to lay her head." "Won't you mind? Even if she has to stay in the cold room?" "Even in the cold room." I chuckled, already loving the idea of having Hazel locked in the cold room, the sound of her shivering, and the coldness I would feel from her heart was pleasing. That would serve as a minor punishment to her, for thinking of a divorce proposal. I made the rules here, not the other way round. "You should get her before she goes far," Vera spoke smartly. "Sure." I got out of bed and dressed up after bathing. I was anxious to bring back Hazel, and as much as I would love to bring her back myself, I couldn't. I had to see the elders immediately. I got out of the room and faced two of my guards, "Find Hazel and bring her to me in the next hour." "Yes, alpha." They both left immediately to carry out the assignment. I adjusted my black shirt and put a smile on my face, 'You made a grave mistake, Hazel, and I will teach you well that next time, you will be too sorry to make the same mistake.' I chuckled darkly and headed towards the throne room. I got in and the elders rose to their feet to welcome me. I was not ready for any of their greetings. I just went straight to my throne and sat down, as I also cleared out my mind in case the guards wanted to send a message to me about Hazel's whereabouts. "The rogues are threatening to break down the border, alpha." One of the elders spoke. I held my jaw and sighed, "How long do we have?" "Close to nothing." Now, the rogues were another thing threatening my rules, and they were not ready to back down. They killed my parents, and that made me hate Hazel even more. Her face reminded me of the rogues, and she was to pay for their atrocities, to redeem herself. "What do you think, my elders?" I questioned them subconsciously. They began to lay out their thoughts, which I was partially listening to. My mind was divided, my rule was threatened and I badly needed to calm down, and Hazel would be the perfect person for the calming down. "Alpha!" One of the guards ran into my mind link, "We lost her scent." I got out of my seat immediately, "Let's meet later." I said to the elders hurriedly. I left the throne room before I could be stopped. I shifted and dashed into the woods, trailing my guards. I located them and they were in the middle of nowhere and truthfully, that was where Hazel's scent stopped. "What happened?" "I think she was attacked and murdered, maybe by some wild animals." I was shown some pieces of flesh and blood on the floor. I picked some up and sniffed it. It was hers, it had her scent on it. W...What the...? "Find her remains around." "But alpha..." "NOW!"THE ALPHA IS STRONG.HAZEL'S POV.Fear crept into my heart when I turned to the sound of the guards and saw a rogue standing before me. It looked so ugly, and spit dropped out of the corner of his mouth uncontrollably."Stay back," I warned, as if I had something I was depending on. Whereas, I was dead within me at just the sight of the beast. It reminded me so much of the beast that attacked me when I was leaving the Dark Bridge pack. And I feared. The rogue opened its wide mouth and growled, "You must be the Luna, you have the alpha's scent on you."I pointed my hands at him steadily, ready to run from it in case of any sudden attack.I was studying it, and gently took a step back.It leaned to the floor at took slowly predatory steps towards me, its prey. "Oh, don't tell me you're scared.""You are not worth my fright, rogue." I let him realise. It growled again, "Look around you, you are surrounded, and cannot be saved. You and your little pups will get eaten by us before your alp
BIG WAR AHEAD.SOREN'S POV.I couldn't get over what happened after the invasion of the rogues in the pack. I had luckily saved Hazel and the pups before they could be eaten by the rogues. The pack had been strangely calm, so calm. Everyone was scared for their lives and recently, my pack members had been sleeping with the lights on as they feared that for the rogues to invade in the day without fear, they could do anything at night.I entered my chamber, and Hazel was glancing at the pack through the window. I studied her first. She had not been so different from the rest of the pack members, she was even worse. She had been silent, distant, and cold; she had only smiled at her pups, and I missed her even though she was closer to me.I went to her, then wrapped my arms around her from behind. She was rigid for a second, then slowly calmed down."Soren." She spoke softly, "How is it going?"I relaxed my jaw on her shoulder and pecked her neck, "I'm waiting for Gabriel to bring me wo
ROGUES WANT ALL PACKS.Five years later....HAZEL'S POV.It was a weekend. I sat down on a swing in the playground, watching my pups as they played around with other pups. They had smiles and laughs on their faces, showing how happy they were. They were already growing, they were five years old and their faces were more hunting, though I had learned to accept them like that, they only had the face of their wicked father, they were nothing like him, I will also make sure that they become someone better than him.I stared around the playground, but quickly returned my eyes to the pups.I smiled when I saw them helping each other up from the floor and they ran to me, "Mama, Ryan wants ice cream." Ryder spoke for his brother and I chuckled. "Let's get you both ice cream then.""Yay!"I got hold of their hands and we left for the ice cream shop. Two guards ran after me, "Luna, let's get the ice cream for them. Alpha said you shouldn't be stressed."I glared at them immediately, "Why are y
JOY TO SORROW.HAZEL'S POV.Back in the woods, I was roasting a wild cat's meat that I had killed a minute ago.As I squatted to rekindle the fire, I felt a sharp pain hitting my stomach, just below my navel and it was very sharp. I groaned and caressed that side til the pain eased. I continued with what I was doing and when the meat was cooked enough to my satisfaction, I picked it up from the zinc I was roasting on and took a bite. The pain returned, more deadly than I let go of the meat to hold my baby bump, "Ah!" My voice echoed throughout the woods, but I didn't care, the pain was too much to care.I felt some liquid rolling down from my legs, and I understood what was wrong with me immediately, 'My pups were coming!' I tried to stand up on my feet as I held the arms of the chair I was sitting on. I stood.I turned towards my little hut but stopped on my track because of the person I saw leaning on the tree beside the hut. He had a smirk plastered on his lips. I frowned at
A CHANGE TO STAY STRONG.HAZEL'S POV.It was a bright morning. My head ached, my body burned, and my heart was already in pieces. I groaned and tried to get up from the bed.Wait, did I say bed?I became alerted immediately, and rolled off, ignoring all my pains. The last thing I remembered was walking through the woods and getting attacked by some beasts and the rest was blurry. 'What happened after that? Was I saved? By who?'Somehow, I was scared, thinking that I was back in the pack house.Tears trickled down my cheeks and I cringed. I began to think of the pain I would have to endure again. All over again. I hugged my body and shook in great pain.Coldness enveloped me, and I rushed to the wall for comfort. I crouched and cried bitterly. My breathing began to rag as the door opened.I immediately took my face between my hands, thinking it would be either Kai or Vera when I knew that they might be around to punish me. I wanted to question them about what they wanted, but they
