Chapter 36

STEVEN POV

After I heard Lori crying, I couldn't take anymore of anyone's pain. Cody is struggling, Lori lost her child and war is coming and worse part we are not sure when or where. I went into the woods and found this other old tree, started to punch and claw at it. I don't know how long I was doing that till I realized nothing was left to hit. My hands bloody, I healed but blood remains.

I took off my t-shirt to clean my blood hands when I felt eyes on me, I looked around and even sniff the air but I couldn't pick up a scent. I heard paws coming at me and I got ready to fight, a light brown blackish wolf with a beautiful fur come out. I relaxed a little but still felt like someone was watching. The wolf shifted and it was Cody, he had some shorts with him so he got dressed but did not come closer.

Cody- are you alright?

Steven- no!..too much pain going around, and now Lori !

Cody- you know you can't take her right?

Steven- yes, I know. That's the hard part. How's amara?
