NAYLA’S POV.(continued)

“Will you please be my girlfriend?” Roy asked, his eyes wide open as he waited for my response.

I felt my breath hitch in my throat, my whole body shaking from nervousness.

I—I didn’t expect him to ask me this question at this time. I didn’t even think he would ask me at all.

But why not? Why wouldn’t I be a girlfriend to the man my heart beats for? So yes! I’ll be his girlfriend.

“Y—yes,” I nodded, covering my mouth with both palms as I tried to contain my excitement. I couldn’t believe this just happened. I couldn’t believe I had a boyfriend. A man! Someone wake me up from this dream. Or no! Don’t—I want to stay in it forever!

Roy stood up, walking towards where I sat. He stretched his hand out, inviting me to give him mine.

Once my hand was in his, he pulled me up gently, bringing me to my feet. He drew me closer, cupping my face with both hands, his touch warm and gentle.
