Chapter 6

Nora sighed; William! She knew he was the one, he certainly knew how to worm his way into her life. She crashed onto the bed as she got home, after a late-night shoot she certainly was as exhausted as a sloth. Her phone rang and she groaned, someone should not be calling her by this time of the night especially when she was exhausted. She picked at the second ring, it was an unknown number.

“Who is this?” she asked and the person chuckled.

“Your hubby,” he said and Nora rolled her eyes, he was persistent as ever.

“You are not yet,” she said and he growled.

“Oh I am very much your hubby, you signed it darling” he drawled and she scowled.

“What do you want?” She said and he laughed,

“I like you, snappy. Wife” he said and she rolled her eyes again.

“Don’t call me that” she said sternly and over the phone he could hear it growl.

“You are my woman,” he said, “I can call you whatever I want” he added.

“Fine. What do you want because I want to sleep.” She said and she knew he would be smiling.

“I just want you to know that as from tomorrow, I fucking want you in my house. As my wife” he said and she shook her head. She wished she had a way around this. William was too possessive.

“Okay. Can I go now” she said and he cut the line. She sighed suddenly not feeling sleepy anymore, she was only doing this for her mother. The doorbell pinged and she opened the door her best friend Anna peeked her head in.

“Anna!” Nora exclaimed, “What are you doing here so late?” she said and Anna grinned.

“Just wanted to be with you before you go see big daddy,” she said and Nora frowned.

“Big daddy?” She asked confused and Anna grinned. “My dad?”

“Not your dad, I meant William silly,” she said and Nora rolled her eyes. She quickly whipped up coffee and cream for her and her friend.

“Seriously Anna? Big daddy? That sounds disgusting” Nora said, making a face and Anna grinned at her.

“Is it?” She teased and Nora nodded and handed her a mug of coffee and plopped down on the seat beside her.

“I don’t know why but I have two feelings, I don’t want to do this but I also want to try out how it feels to live with a cold, arrogant guy like him,” Nora said and Anna stared at her strangely.

“Are you kidding Nora?” she asked and ruffled her hair, “This guy can buy a state, gosh you have men-catching skills which you should teach me” she said and Nora smiled at her.

“Gosh, you aren’t gonna change Anna,” she said and Anna smiled mischievously as she sipped the coffee.

“Change? And be all gray and boring like you hell no. In short, we should party for tomorrow” she said and Nora sighed.

“Knock it off, Anna. Finish your coffee and go get some sleep” Nora said and sipped hers ending the conversation.

Nora stared at the huge villa in awe, a butler took her things and motioned for her to come in, she walked in, and again she was in awe. The inside was so wide and spacious that it looked like a world-class hotel.

“Wifey” came the familiar deep voice and she slowly turned to face William, he had a smug look on his face and he looked very___handsome, his hair was disheveled and it fell to his temples giving him a roguish look.

“Hubby,” she said in mock tones and he grinned as if he liked it.

“I like that,” he said, “Welcome to one of my many mansions,” he said and she shook her head.

“Stop bragging” she chastised and he smiled.

“You are my woman, Nora. You need to know about my wealth” he said and she rolled her eyes.

“Can we just go to your room?” she said and his eyes twinkled.

“Horny already huh?” He said and grinned. “That’s good, I can do many things to you,” he said slyly and she sighed in frustration.

“That’s not what I meant pervert. I just want somewhere to crash and secondly, I am doing nothing with you” she said and his eyes stared at her somewhat coldly then he motioned for her to follow. They passed a long hallway before he cut to the left and they entered a large room. It was so beautiful that Nora was awestruck.

The walls were mosaic-designed, the shelves were a stunning bright black and gold, the bed was so wide it would have fit ten people, the headboard was golden and as the frames, the splendor of the room was just overwhelming that she couldn’t speak.

“This is our room,” he said, she stared at him. The use of the word “our” was foreign to her; the only person who had shared a bed with her was Anna.

“Great” she managed to say, “I will drop my thing,” she said and skirted around him but he caught her arms and pulled him to him.

“Why are you acting so skittish, I mean we have done it before you know,” he said with a grin and she pulled her arm away.

“I am not doing anything with you, you’ve got what to want,” she said and he smiled, not disturbed by her refusal.

“You are gonna be sleeping next to me, pray I don’t do anything,” he said and she gasped.

“You wouldn’t,” she said and he stared at her for a while as if challenging her then he nodded and rolled his eyes.

“Fine! I won’t do anything, but I don’t want to see you with any guy within five meters close or…..” he left that statement hanging and took off his shirt. She stepped back and he chuckled.

“Relax, I want to take a shower and since you are my wife I am allowed to undress in front of you,” he said and tugged down his pants while she looked away, he chuckled and wrapped himself in his towel and went to the bathroom on the left.

She opened her eyes as she heard the door closed and sighed. William was really something since she couldn’t get the image of his naked body clear of her mind. The picture kept coming.
