 Sofia's POV

"Hold on ma! Why is Saphira not in School today? Hope she's alright?" The principal's voice stopped me from ending the call.

"Huh? Not in school? How's that possible? She left home for school this morning" I said, perplexed.

" But we never saw her. She didn't pass through the school gate even the CCTV has no footage of her appearance today"

I hope nothing has happened to my baby.

Has corovi...

No!

" Keep this a secret for now. I'll find out what happened and get back to you" 

"Okay ma"

I hung the call, almost shivering in fear.

Just then, the door cracked open to reveal Saphira.

"Hi mum" she smiled with a peck on my cheek.

I could perceive the peculiar demon's fragrance.

I slightly pushed her away.

"Don't call me your mum when you don't see me as one" I fired.

She blinked her eyebrows. I am sure she is shocked to see me act this way.
