ARIA

I see the huge red gates in front of me. They're powerful even in the darkness of midnight. The two other applicants seem strong and extremely confident, both of them are male.

All the members of the disciplinary committee are standing behind us, getting ready for the death test. As the red gates open, my eyes look in his direction.

He is already staring at me.

Inhaling a deep breath, I turn my head to the gates and enter the woods. The other two applicants follow behind me.

The leaves on the trees are shaking, making eerie noises. I don't know if the birds are leaving their nests or if something scary is lurking in the darkness.

Each tree appears to be a monster.

While my feet are taking slow steps, the other two cross past me, running ahead, completing among themselves.

They aren't bothered about me. Maybe they don't see me as a competition…at all.

Suddenly, a groan, stronger than a wolf's, echoes through the woods. The two applicants stop before me but I quickly sneak behind a

  • MY BOYS IN THE WOLVES ACADEMY    THE PAST OF LOZARK AYLESTONE

ARIAI am working in the main hall, arranging white flowers when Mrs. Ana stands beside me. Ever since Larisa and Ridcliff went missing, the attendants have been peaceful and quite diligent with everything. “The hall looks beautiful. You're really good with your work. When you go back to the academy, I'm gonna miss you.”“I will miss you, too. You’ve been a great help, never questioned me about anything.” A soft smile stretches on my lips.“How are the kids?” “They're good without Ridcliff. I'm just worried he might come back for them.” “Don't worry, he won't. Ridcliff knows that if he comes back, he's dead. Lozark Aylestone will never forgive him.”Mrs. Ana sighs, nodding her head. The dark truth that only I know, the horrifying words Jay told me. He killed Ridcliff and Larisa and buried them somewhere only he knows.“The next competition will be in a few days. Everything needs to be perfect.” “Keep up the work.” She rests her palm on my shoulder and heads towards the other side.

  • MY BOYS IN THE WOLVES ACADEMY    SHE'S A HUNTER, A HUMAN

ARIAI can feel him. I can feel how difficult it is to live with guilt you never meant to ask for. Jay has always been putting on a tough, rebellious act, and, worst of all, hiding his guilt. For the first time in so many years, Rizz and Jay are sitting together. Finally, they let go of their rage against each other. I stand in silence, behind them, as they discuss the past, the forgotten friendship, sitting on the small wooden bridge above a flowing river.“What a rare view.” Dalia stands beside me.A smile glints on my lips.“Lisa broke them apart but you brought them together once again. Thank you, Aria.” Her arm hugs my waist, snuggling me closer.Suddenly, she sighs.“What's wrong?” Doubts arise in my head.“Prince and I got into a fight.”“Why?” Parting our hug, she grabs my wrist and drags me further from Rizz and Jay.“The thing is…” Her lips are hesitant. My brows furrow.“Prince thinks Jay is Raven Aylestone but I refuse to believe it.” “Jay can't be Raven Aylestone. He e

  • MY BOYS IN THE WOLVES ACADEMY    A BURIED GUILT

JAYI called for an urgent meeting with all those who had worshipped me in the academy. They were my followers, my gang members.Around thirty-five people gathered in the back of the academy near the abandoned well.“What's wrong this time?” Ren asked. Deep down, he was anxious that I might ask him to bury another dead body. He had done enough of that for me to prove his loyalty in the past. “Tessa, my attendant, was poisoned. That poison was for me but the attacker mistakenly stabbed her. She's in a critical condition. The doctor said it's a rare poison named Ampivorus. The antidote can only be found in the Tysilcon valley.”“Tysilcon Valley is in the enemy pack. The Gray Stone pack is dangerous.” One of the boys steps forward.“The doctor gave her a temporary antidote. She's weak at the moment but if I don't get the permanent antidote within a week, she'll die.”“I don't care how dangerous it is, bring me the antidote by any means,” I order. They all pass each other a glance.“You

TESSALike the wind, the two get into a brutal fight, rolling on the floor, wrestling against each other. Both of them are equally powerful and equally wounded.I stand next to the cell, worried for Jay. He's trying to snatch the mask out of Raven’s face but every time his claws reach for it, Raven manages to shove him back. When they're fighting, I spot a wooden chair next to me. Without thinking much, I grab the chair and strike Raven's back with it. The wood breaks into pieces, stumbling him for a second, but he quickly pulls himself back, throwing me to a corner aggressively. My elbow and knee get scratched, and the two start fighting again. Suddenly, Raven takes out a poisonous dagger from his pants and reaches for Jay's heart. Sensing the scent of the poison, my wolf growls within me so strongly that it reverberates under my skin. That's when I realized…Jay Manchester is my mate.My wolf awakens, crawling underneath my bones and muscles, and forces me to run towards him. A mas

  • MY BOYS IN THE WOLVES ACADEMY    BEHIND A CELL

TESSAI am locked in a prison cell, dark and cold. It's like a special cell with a bed, a washroom, and even a wardrobe. My hands and legs are tied to iron chains but I can move in them. The surroundings are unfamiliar. He stands before me again in a mask, hiding his face. He's tall and well-built, and I can even see the eagle tattoo on his arm.In the last two hours, he has taken much of my blood, healing his cursed wolf. My body is too weak, shivering, but he doesn't care.He opens the cell and steps inside again.I am lying in bed, drained of energy, pale, barely breathing. He sits beside me and gently brushes his fingers down my long hair.“My sweet Tessa.” His deep voice whispers. He is using a voice changer. I can't recognize his voice nor does he have any scent on him.“W-Who are you?” I ask, glaring at him.“You want to know my real identity?” He slightly tilts his head, sliding his fingers to my neck.“Show me your face, you bastard!”He let out a soft chuckle.“You're not af

  • MY BOYS IN THE WOLVES ACADEMY    FIND HER SECRET

ARIAI searched for her everywhere in the Mirage Paradise, every damn corner, and asked almost everyone about her, but no trace of her. She has vanished into thin air.“Any news?” I ask Scott.“A bartender said he helped her carry Jay to his room at 11 pm.”“My room?” Jay appears to be confused.“Did you drink last night?”He nods.“Why would anyone kidnap Tessa? The only person I can think of is Raven Aylestone. Maybe he just wants to hurt the people around me to force me to find the Red Ruby.”Dalia and Prince rush over to us.“She didn't go outside the Mirage Paradise. We asked the guards.” Dalia explains.“If she's still in the Mirage Paradise, we need to look for a hidden room or something. Maybe she's locked somewhere.”Dalia inhales a breath.“You were the last person to meet her, right?” She narrows her eyes at Jay.“I was drunk. I don't remember anything.”“Why would you drink so much?”“Are you suspecting me again?” The two start arguing.“Enough. Find Tessa!” I raise my vo
