“We’ll be late Maeve .” I screamed from the stairsIt’s 7:30am already and we have to be at work before 8am and my dear sister hasn’t even had breakfast and sometimes it’s hard to believe we are even sisters but with that been said my sister finally graced the stairs with her presence.“You would loose your voice at this rate.” Maeve said.“And you’ll loose weight if you keep skipping breakfast.” I replied.“Bye mom,bye dad.” I said ask I walked out of the house while Maeve was gulping down her tea.We made our way to the garage, got into the car and zoomed off and now only God knows how we are going to make it to work before 8am.“Your dressing looks extra today.” I said as I looked at Maeve.I know my sister well enough to know that something was up and Maeve was someone who would dress according to the occasion.“Hmm.” She said smiling.“Yh,spill it.” I grimed at her.“Meeting up with Mike after work.” She replied so casually.“MIKE?.” I responded in shock almost slamming the breaks.we both know that’s a no go area and for God sake this man is a married man.“Maeve,we spoke about this already and you promised me you won’t be meeting him.” I said to her.“Why are you looking for trouble Maeve?.” I asked her.“I knew we spoke about this Samantha, but I think I know what’s good for me and what’s not.” She answered.“No you don’t,what do you do if his wife finds out or didn’t you even think about that.” I charged at her as I packed in the parking lot.“Don’t talk like you in my shoes and I know what’s best for me like I said.” She said to me.“I’m your elder sister at least and I know what’s best for you.” I said to her hoping she sees things from my point.“At least you’re betrothed to Gamma Jonathan so you can’t see things from my view,” she said as she left the car leaving me all by myself.I was still for some minutes cause I was trying to relate what she said to what I was bothered about, she thinks I don’t understand her cause I’m betrothed to Jonathan?.I managed to get my stuffs and headed to the office seems I’ll be needing lot of caffeine today. Why would Maeve speak like that?.It unlike her.I love Maeve so much that I’ll exchange my life for her if she was dying and sometimes I can say I’m over protective but I always have my reasons.***********************Time was far spent at the office cause I had loads of work that I even had to skip lunch. It was 5pm on the dot so I decided to call it a day,I’ll sort the mails at home.I didn’t get any call or message from Maeve since the little argument we had this morning so I guess I’ll be leaving without her since she was going to be having dinner with Mike.By the time I was done sorting my work for the day it was almost 6pm,I made my way down the lobby to the parking lot and at least half of the workers already left the building so it was really scanty here.I made a stop at the store to get some things although still bothered about Maeve,if only she would see things from my view but she’s still young and naive. Finally I got home and spent another 5 minutes in the car thinking about what my dear sister said to me.“Mom,dad.” I said as I made my way inside.“Welcome dear.” My mom said from the kitchen as she prepared to serve dinner.I went into my room, showered and got dressed and I would say the shower really helped me.I tried calling Maeve cause it was getting late already but it wasn’t reachable.I went downstairs to have dinner because I was starving and mom coincidentally cooked my favorite which was sea bass and lime couscous, absolutely the best!I decided to go sort the mails I intended to and I was so absorbed that I didn’t know time was far spent and by the time I checked it was already late.I decided to go meet my sister to sort things out thinking she would be back but her room was empty.“Is Maeve back yet mom?.” I asked her as I got to the living room.“I thought you came back together.” She replied with worries showing all over her face.It was like I was struck by a lighting.“Why didn’t she come home with you?.” Dad asked“She had a date.” I replied my father.I tried calling her again but her line wasn’t going through and I was dead worried.I didn’t know about the dinner location nor do I have Mike contact.“We should go look for her.” My dad saidI felt so guilt like it was all my fault only if I didn’t have an argument with her this morning. Was she annoyed?I was just looking out for her.“I’ll go check dad, don’t worry I’ll keep in touch mom.” I said to them.“Are you sure Samantha,we could spread.” Mom said.“She’s fine mom,I’ll go look for her.” I said even thou I was scared as hell.“If you don’t find her in the next one hour,I’m calling the cops.” Dad said.“Okay,” I said as I made my way to get my keys and went outside.I checked all the restaurant I thought my sister would love but I couldn’t find her,I tried using my inner wolf to connect to her’s but I couldn’t feel the connection I tried smelling maybe she was wasted somewhere but no avail.I checked out all the restaurants I could but I still couldn’t find Maeve.I didn’t know what to do,what happened?.I didn’t have Mike contact but wait if I recall so well when Mike and Maeve met he gave her his business card and I’m sure she kept it.I turned the car and went back to the house.“Did you find her?.” Mom asked as I made my way upstairs,I didn’t even have the time to answer I needed to find the card.I checked everywhere but then I couldn’t find it“Fuck, arghhhh.” I cursed. But then I remembered her telling me he lived in Arodome estate even though I don’t know the exact house.Mom came into the room asking me tons of questions but I wasn’t even listening and I rushed downstairs.“That’s it I’m calling the cops,” my dad storms. But just then my phone beeps………Godfrey’s POVThe morning of our wedding arrived with the soft glow of the sun spilling across the palace grounds. The sky was clear, the air cool and fresh, filled with the scents of wildflowers and pine from the nearby forest. Our wedding wasn’t just an ordinary one…it was a sacred werewolf ceremony, a bond blessed by the Moon Goddess, witnessed by our ancestors, and celebrated by our pack. The ceremony took place in the Moonstone Glade, a magical clearing hidden deep within the forest. The ground was covered with soft green moss, and petals of white and red flowers were scattered everywhere. An arch made of silver birch branches stood tall at the center, decorated with roses. Georgina had insisted that we did our wedding here and I agreed to it. “Are you nervous?” David whispered behind me. “Because I am.”I chuckled, turning to him. “I am the groom but you look more nervous than I am.”That was a lie, my heart was on fire, and I was only faking my calmness. Before he could r
Godfrey’s POVWe returned to the palace, people gasped in shock when they saw Georgina walking in, some of the maids fainted, and some elders rushed outside, their faces etched with a mixture of confusion and curiosityTheirThey eyes darting between Georgina and Thomas and Nathan, not sure which one to believe, both revelations was just too shocking. Georgina smiled walking towards the elders, they staggered backward in fear as they stared at her. Joana rushed over, pulling her into a hug. “You are alive,” she cried. Georgina smiled and released herself from her embrace. “come, I know you have a lot that you want to tell me and you want to know,” she said dragging her away. I turned to the sentinels. “Take the culprits to the dungeon, I want all eyes on them.”They nodded and moved into action, dragging them away. Just then another sentinel walked up to me and told me that my parents had arrived and were waiting for me. I asked him to gesture them in, and he nodded leaving immedi
Godfrey's POV***The day of Georgina's attack***The cold wind blew through the thick forest as we searched for Nathan and Thomas, but there was no sign of them. “Keep looking,” I instructed the guards, suddenly Draco felt uneasy. I paused looking around but there was nothing around that could have triggered Draco. “What happened?” I asked. I could feel Draco's rage flaring up, his growl low but dangerous. Something was wrong.I could finally feel it, something was indeed not right, I looked around studying the forest, and my eyes turned to Pamela who looked uneasy. This was a trick, a trap or a diversion. “Georgina,” I muttered, my eyes widened in alarm and without thinking, I ran back toward the mountains, my heart hammering loudly in my chest. I needed to get to Georgina immediately. I got to where I left her and Alicia and found no one, my uneasiness growing as I scanned the environment, but still no sign of them. Suddenly I looked up and I saw her.Georgina.She was stand
AUTHOR'S POV. Pamela stormed into the dimly lit room, her footsteps loud against the stone floor. She slammed the door shut behind her, the echo ringing through the room, Her hands curled into fists, her whole body trembling with anger.Across the room, Alicia leaned against the wall, her arms crossed under her breasts, a faint smile playing on her lips. The flickering candlelight cast shadows on her face. “We had a deal," Pamela spat, her voice cold and sharp. “You tricked me.”Alicia sighed, tilting her head slightly as if bored by the conversation. "Your mother is dead, Pamela. Isn’t that what you wanted?"Pamela’s eyes burned with rage. “I wanted her dead,” Pamela snapped, walking closer to her. “But do you know what I wanted more? The throne,” she snapped. “I did my own part of the job,” Alicia hissed. “Your own part of the job?* She scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief. “I wanted the throne, you said you would give me the throne.”Alicia let out a chuckle. “You lost th
Godfrey’s POVThe rain fell hard as we rode through the palace gates, but it did nothing to wash away the blood. Georgina’s body lay cold in my arms, wrapped in a dark cloak, her face pale as the dead sky above us.I could not feel anything. No pain. No anger. Just emptiness.I couldn't help but feel this was my fault, I was the one that persuaded her to go on this trip and I led her to her death and worst of all I couldn't catch the culprits. Tears flowed down my cheeks freely, words could not explain how I felt, I just felt empty and filled with guilt. “It is all your fault, it is your fault, your fault,” the accusations kept playing in my mind.I searched through my mind looking for Draco, I needed someone to pull me back…it was just too sudden. I kept glancing back at her body, hoping Georgina would just get up but she didn't.The sentinels followed behind in silence, their faces grim, so we were crying loudly. The moment we stepped inside the palace, the cries increased. Ser
Georgina’s POVThe cold wind from the North Sea hit my face as I stood by the rocky shore. The waves crashed against the rocks again and again, as if trying to pull the land into the sea. I inhaled deeply not wanting to miss any part of this, I was happy I actually listened to Godfrey because this was just what I needed. For the first time in weeks, I felt like I could breathe, No walls around me. No people watching my every move, Just the sound of the sea, stretching far and endless before me.Godfrey stood beside me, a faint smirk playing on his lips as he enjoyed the view.“See you like it,* he blurted out. “The sea air is good for you, good for resting.”“Is this a way of rubbing it on my face that you were right?” I chuckled, turning my head to him. *I can't say I wasn't trying to rub it off,” he said, giving me a wink. “You need to learn I am always right.”“I sighed, wrapping my hand around his. “I can’t remember the last time I felt this… free,” I admitted.Godfrey glanced a
