登入True to his word, it was crowded outside the pack house. We got out of the car, and I looked at Marcus, who wore a smile on his face with his hands in his pockets. Seeing him like that made me want to do something so I placed my hand across his shoulder. It was like I was telling everyone that he was mine. After making a phone call, we stood by the car alongside Nathan and his wife. Immediately, someone stepped out of the house, telling the people to create space. They turned back and saw us. It became worse than before as they walked towards us to plead. I held firmly to Marcus not because I was scared, not because I felt attacked, but because I wanted to. "Just wait and see," Marcus said to me, and the next thing I heard was a gunshot fired into the air. The people dispersed on hearing the gunshot and we passed through. Getting inside the pack house, I turned Marcus to myself. "What would have happened if someone had been shot?" I asked and he shook his head. "No one would h
This was also his room so why did he need to knock? "Come in," I said, and the door opened, showing Michelle, who wore a smile with her hand on her stomach. She shut the door and walked to me. "Luna Susan is so beautiful," she said making me laugh, and I told her to call me by my name. "I am Susan, your little sister," I said and she hugged me. "I need to get you prepared," she said amazing me, and I reminded her that I was meant to take care of her at the moment. This made her laugh, and she concluded that we take care of ourselves. The afternoon began to get dark. Marcus and I sat before a screen watching everyone get into the venue. Mother Selina walked to my back and gave me a peck on my cheek. "Mother, why didn't you go with Beta Collins?" I asked, and she smiled slightly, pulling my cheek. "I told him that I would like to go with you,' she said, and I nodded. Marcus turned to her and told her to get ready. "We would be leaving soon," he said and she nodded. After she
"She came with me," Marcus said, and the man nodded. According to the man, he heard that Marcus had a mate, and he wanted to see her. I thought Marcus was going to introduce me as his mate but he didn't. "He would have his reason," I told myself. "Is she the bargaining chip?" The man asked and Marcus shook his head. "You just got back yesterday," Marcus said, and the man laughed, saying that he had left the pack four years ago. "Your father was my father's best business partner." They continued speaking, and Marcus told the man to come to the feast, where he was going to introduce him to his mate. We got up to leave when the man began to laugh. "Do you think I am blind, Marcus," he said. "She is your mate." This made Marcus smile, but he didn't look back as we walked away. The next place we were visiting was the prison. Getting to the prison, we were led to a cell where I saw one of the men who killed Chelsea's father. "Where is his cellmate?" I asked and was told that he wa
We left in the car with Madam Owen and Mother Selina, who hugged me like she didn't want to let go. Before leaving the venue, she met with the people who took care of me and asked if she could also be my mother. It was laughable, but anyway, it was just to show that she wasn't taking my love away from them. "Mother Selina, what would you like to eat?" I asked when we got to the pack house, but she shook her head. I could tell that she was lost in thought, but I didn't know what she was thinking about. "I didn't know that he was ill," she said and I understood that she was worried about her husband. "Don't worry, Mother Selina," I said rubbing her back while she sniffled. Waking up the following morning, I looked to my side and saw Sonia, but her father wasn't in the room. "Where is he?" I asked myself and looked at Sonia once again as I pondered whether to take my bath or wait with her. Finally, I made up my mind to take a bath. After putting her in the crib, I walked away
Thirty minutes later, Marcus stretched out his hand to me while I looked at Michelle, who was with us, and then we walked out of the pack house to the car. Reaching the venue, I looked around like I was expecting something. "Let's go inside," Marcus said and I followed him into the building. We were led to the high table where Marcus asked to see Collins, and he whispered some words into Collins's ear. After Collins had left, he looked at me and nodded his head. "Good day, everyone," the man who was leading said, holding a paper, and I looked at Marcus. "There is a little change in the programme for today." We were made to eat before the programme started. Then I looked at Collins, who smiled, looking at me. Marcus also looked at me and I knew that he wondered why I was smiling. Minutes after everyone had relaxed, Marcus cleared his throat and announced that the programme should begin. I knew that everyone was expecting more from us; something more than we did the previous day.
After my speech, I looked at Marcus who pointed to Collins. Maria walked to me and hugged me. "You suffered so much," she said. It was evening so people left for the guesthouse. Abigail approached me with Sonia. "I would like to leave," This made me smile, and I hugged her, then she left with the people she came with. After handing Sonia to Michelle, I left with Maria to see the room she was staying in at the guesthouse. "I will be waiting for you," I said and she joked that I would be her Luna when she relocates here. "That's right," I said. "You would be Luna Susan's best friend." We both laughed and she reminded me that I had other best friends. Getting to her room, I surveyed everywhere then waved to her. "Bye for now," I said then left. Getting out of the guesthouse, I saw Marcus, and it seemed like he was waiting for someone so I chose to walk away, but he held my wrist. "I am here for you," he said, making me smile, and before I could say anything, I was already in
