LOGINNATHALIE’S POV 🍃
–
“Kiddo, remember to always wash your hands before eating,” I heard Calix remind Xander in a loving voice.
“Yes, Uncle!”
“And make sure the soap you use for washing hands has antibacterial, it cleans better and keeps germs away so you won’t get sick easily.”
“Yes, Uncle!”
After I put the food on the table, I looked at the two of them.
~ AUTHOR’S POV 🌻 ~-Beatrice assumed all along Ethan was going to Margaret’s grave.Once the gate closed, Beatrice struggled to catch her breath.Every part of her body was trembling; she could barely manage to lower the window. She drew in a breath, yet it was not enough to steady her breathing. She tried to calm herself, still, it was not enough. Her chest felt tight, as though the air itself were slipping away.“Oh, my gosh! What’s happening to you?!”Beatrice could no longer clearly see the woman approaching. All she knew was the woman helped her before she lost consciousness.Upon opening her eyes again, Beatrice realized she was in a hospital. After talking to the doctor who attended to her, the doctor explained what happened to her.
~ AUTHOR’S POV 🌻 ~-Two days have passed since Madame Beatrice spoke to Veronica. Every day, every hour, she thinks about their conversation.Every time Beatrice thinks about their conversation, she cries, which leads to a breakdown. She screams and cries, throwing away everything she can hold.Night had fallen deep by then. Beatrice had managed less than an hour of sleep when a dream suddenly stirred from her sleep.“Every last one of you is despicable!” Beatrice screamed in rage. “May you all perish!”Mr. Ethan, who had just left his wife’s room to check on her, hurried back in the second he heard Beatrice’s scream. He caught Beatrice throwing away the pillows and comforter from the bed, which were the only things left in that room.“Beat...rice...”Hearing her husband’s voice, Beatrice felt no joy instead, her a
~ AUTHOR’S POV 🌻 ~-In the hotel room where Tyler is staying, he drinks alcohol alone while looking out the window, observing the city lights from various buildings. In the two days that have passed since that night, nothing else has been running through his mind but Nathalie. He wavered, uncertain whether to take Nathalie’s answer as it was, or to fight for his love, hoping one day she would open her heart to him.Lost deep in thought, he didn’t hear his phone ringing for nearly half an hour, nor did he hear Dashiell knocking and ringing the doorbell outside his hotel room.“Nathalie,” the name passed his lips without his knowledge. “My beloved... I love you more than my own life.”Meanwhile, Dashiell, who was outside of his hotel room, was slamming the door angrily.Dashiell took a deep breath, having figured out a way to get past the pa
NATHLIE’S POV 🍃-I let Tyler cry endlessly against my waist, waiting for him to stop.I never wanted to see him like this again, especially because of me.“Ty...” I said, breaking the silence as his sobs subsided. He stayed wrapped around my waist. He moved his face away from my waist.“You’re important to me... I can’t stand you being like this because of me. And if I don’t do this, there’s a chance you’ll never be free.” I swallowed hard, before continuing. “It’s better if end our friendship that’s we already ruined.”His eyes snapped toward me.It pained my heart to see Tyler’s eyes so red, brimming with wetness, and traces of dried tears on his face.I removed his embrace from my waist.I rose and reached into the drawer to take the ring he’d given me.When I looked back at him, he was already standing. His eyes were pleading through tears.I stepped closer.
NATHLIE’S POV 🍃-“What happened there?” Tyler asked as we entered the kitchen. “Why is the fridge like that? Where did that dent come from?”“Oh, that? I was cleaning and accidentally dropped the chair heavily against it. That’s why the fridge looks like that.” I gave the same excuse again, just as I had told Donna before. That was what happened when Calix slammed the chair against the fridge. If he had struck it twice that night, he would surely have completely ruined the fridge.“Does that still work? Do you want me to buy a new one tomorrow?” Tyler asked concernedly, then sat down.“There’s no need to buy a new one. The fridge still works perfectly, it just looks broken because the door is dented.”“Are you sure?”“Hm-hm. Don’t worry about that, Ty. Let’s eat. I’ve
NATHLIE’S POV 🍃-[“We’re heading straight to the hotel where Dashiell and I will be staying. We’ll leave off our things there, then Sapphire and I will head over to your place.”]“All right, Ty. Be careful. Say hello to Dashiell from me.”Then I hang up the call.Tyler brought his friend Dashiell along. We can’t all be together in this place.I haven’t met Dashiell in person yet, but I’ve talked to him on video calls when he happens to be at the apartment while I’m talking to Tyler and Sapphire.Sapphire told me that Dashiell was kind, and he was her second-favorite uncle. That put me at ease about her coming to my apartment — as long as Tyler was there too.“Mommy, why isn’t Dada and Sapphire here yet?” Xander asked.“They’ll both be here soon. Let’s set the table so we can eat with them as soon as they arrive.”“Ye-hey! I’m excited to see them!”“Me too, my Little one. I’m so excited that we’ll all be together.”My happiness doubles every time I think and mention that we will all
NATHALIE’S POV-I turned to look at him. I found him already watching me, his eyes speaking volumes without uttering a word.“What do I need to do to fix this between us?”“Sir, I’m here for Brianna. My only reason for being here is to ensure she isn’t taken away from you. That’s it.”“It’s okay i
NATHALIE’S POV-“Baby, let’s check your temperature again.” I told her.She nodded with a smile.I took the body temperature using a gun-style thermometer.“Baby...” I said sweetly. “I’m going to put this on your forehead,” I reminded her. This morning she was scared of this body temperature. Aft
NATHALIE’S POV-I’ve been sitting quietly for hours, watching Brianna.I can’t even bring myself to shut my eyes, not for a single moment, until she wakes up, until I’m certain she’s alright, and most importantly, until her fever subsides. On the other side, Sir Calix is sitting on the sofa a li
NATHALIE’S POV-I smiled, blinking, wondering. His question was out of the blue moon. Conceivably he wanted us to have something to talk about or something?Well, there was a time when I wondered and now I’m suddenly curious.“Why is that, sir, though? The combination is so surprising...” I’m not
