When they were close to the warehouse, Zach slowed the car and dropped Grey off on the side of the road. The plan was simple, but it needed to go smoothly. There was no room for mistakes.

“Remember the plan. I want no mistakes, Grey,” Zach said firmly, his voice sharp with warning.

“Okay, understood,” Grey replied, his face serious as he got out of the car and hurried to find a spot for his part of the task. Zach watched him disappear before turning his attention back to the road ahead.

He continued driving down to the warehouse, his fingers gripping the steering wheel tightly. Every second felt like an eternity. His heart pounded in his chest as thoughts of Chloe flashed through his mind—his little girl, helpless in the hands of that monster.
