Raven's POV

After finally getting Elena to put her signature on the divorce papers, I headed downstairs to grab a quick espresso before driving straight back to the luxury boutique hotel where I had left Tracy and my young boy.

It wasn't easy completely letting Elena go, but I had no other choice because Tracy was back, and she made it crystal clear that if I didn't divorce Elena immediately, she would pack up and move straight back to Chicago permanently.

Tracy and I were fully engaged to be married long before Elena ever entered my life, but we had to call things off because her wealthy parents demanded she relocate to Chicago to oversee their family corporation.

Tracy and I were already dealing with minor relationship issues at the time, and we both agreed that a long-distance relationship would never work out, so we decided to split up.

I was completely blindsided when I randomly bumped into Tracy a few days ago at a downtown bistro during lunch, and I was even more shocked when she confessed to me that she was already pregnant when she packed her bags for Chicago.

I had broken the news of Tracy's return to my mother five days ago. She was absolutely thrilled about her comeback, especially because she found out she had a grandson hidden away all this time.

My mother had strongly pressured me to get a divorce from Elena immediately. I had been dragging my feet for several days because I genuinely didn't want to break her heart, but I finally forced myself to do it because I simply wasn't in love with her.

I had kept my emotional guard up and never allowed myself to truly fall in love with Elena throughout our four years of marriage, simply because I always secretly held onto the hope that Tracy would find her way back to me.

Elena, was a wonderful, sweet woman, but the true love of my life was finally back, and I couldn't just walk away from her. I sent a quick text to my mother letting her know that Elena had signed the paperwork before pulling out of the driveway and heading to the hotel.

My phone illuminated with an incoming text just as I drove into the hotel courtyard. I parked the vehicle and unlocked the screen to read a message from my personal assistant.

[Are you planning to come into the headquarters today, sir?]

I hadn't stepped foot inside the corporate office for a few days because I wanted to spend every waking moment getting to know my son. I never even knew he existed, and I wanted to build a real bond with him.

[I won't be coming into the office at all today.]

I typed back a quick reply before stepping out of the car.

“Did you successfully hand her the divorce documents?” Tracy asked the very second I stepped inside the luxury suite. I had left early that morning specifically to finalize things with Elena.

“Yes, it's completely done,” I answered, watching a victorious smile spread across her red lips. “I'm entirely yours now,” I said, pulling her waist flush against mine.

“So when exactly is she vacating the property?” Tracy asked, pulling back slightly to look into my eyes.

“Don't ruin the mood right now,” I sighed softly. “I told her to be completely moved out before I get back this evening.”

“Leo and I are moving into the estate today, correct?”

Tracy pressed, and I nodded my head in agreement. She had been pushing to move in days ago, but I couldn't risk having both women living under the exact same roof.

I ordered Elena to leave the property specifically because I wanted Tracy and my son to finally settle into their rightful home with me. Plus, I was completely tired of living out of a hotel suite.

“Come here,” I murmured, pulling her back into my arms. “I missed you so much,” I said, giving her a playful wink. Tracy started to say something, but I pressed my lips against hers to silence her.

My eyes swept over her body hungrily, and I couldn't wait another second to have her. I wanted to completely make up for all the years we had lost.

I lifted her off her feet, and she immediately wrapped her legs tightly around my waist. I carried her over to the plush velvet sofa and gently laid her down.

“Leo is taking a nap right over there,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. She pointed toward the opposite side of the large suite where our son was resting.

“I promise I'll be quiet.”

I knelt down right in front of her, giving her a wicked smile as I began to unbutton her dress. Once she was undressed, I shed my own shirt and began pressing open kisses all over her soft skin, causing her to let out a quiet moan.

As I gently touched her skin and kissed her thighs, she gasped softly.

Suddenly, my phone rang loudly, completely shattering the intimate moment. I groaned out loud, trying to ignore the ringing. “I'm just going to let it ring,” I mumbled, but Tracy gently pushed against my bare chest.

“You should probably answer that,” she suggested softly.

I stood up with a sigh and fished my phone out of my trousers pocket. It was our head housekeeper calling. Why on earth was she calling my personal line?

“Madam Elena just completely fainted, sir. You need to come back to the estate as quickly as possible,” Martha said, her voice shaking with pure panic and urgency.

Elena was supposed to be packing up her belongings and leaving my house. Was this just some dramatic, desperate stunt to make me regret my decision?

“Just tell Arthur to drive her to the medical center.”

I didn't care to find out why she had supposedly passed out, because I didn't have time to play her desperate games. Arthur was one of my most reliable personal drivers, and I knew he would handle the situation perfectly.

With that, I hung up the phone call and turned around to slide back next to Tracy when I heard soft footsteps walking into the room.

Tracy quickly smoothed down her dress, and I walked over to Leo, meeting him halfway across the room. “Look who finally decided to wake up,” I said warmly, gently ruffling his brown hair.

Leo was still struggling to adjust to the reality of having me around as his father. He wasn't completely relaxed around me just yet. I was a little worried about it, but Tracy kept reassuring me that he would get comfortable eventually.

“Can I please get something to eat?” he asked his mother, walking right past me without a glance. She took his hand and led him downstairs to the hotel’s main restaurant, while I stayed behind in the quiet suite.

I checked in briefly with my executive secretary to ensure everything was running smoothly at the firm. After that, I placed a call to my private accountant, ordering him to transfer a massive lump sum of money into Elena's personal bank account, just like I had promised her.

And, twenty minutes later, my phone lit up with a call from my mother.

“You need to get down to the hospital immediately,” My mother’s frantic voice echoed through the speaker the second I pressed answer.

“What are you talking about?” I asked, feeling completely confused. “Why on earth do I need to go to the hospital?”

“It's about Elena. The attending physicians are demanding to speak with you directly,” My mother explained quickly. “I am already in the car heading there right now.” Before I could ask anything else, the line went completely dead.

I was incredibly confused because Elena was in perfect physical health when I saw her earlier that morning. I couldn't see any logical reason why she would suddenly require serious emergency medical care.

I quickly changed into a fresh suit and waited for Tracy and Leo to return to the room before letting her know I had to make a quick trip to the hospital.

Tracy immediately insisted on coming along with me.

  • MY EX WANTS THE CHILD HE ONCE REJECTED BACK   CHAPTER 62

Author's POVMonday morning arrived quietly, but Raven had barely slept the night before. His mind kept returning to Saturday at the park, especially the way Liam had looked at him with complete trust and affection. The little boy had called him “Sir Raven” so naturally that it had stirred emotions Raven wasn’t prepared for. He had enjoyed every moment they spent together, yet beneath the happiness was a question he couldn’t silence. Liam looked familiar. Too familiar. The shape of his eyes, the way he smiled, even the little expression he made whenever he was concentrating reminded Raven of someone he had known all his life.By the time Raven arrived at his office that morning, the DNA test had already been arranged. Arthur had taken care of everything after Raven gave him the sample over the weekend, and now there was nothing left for Raven to do except wait. He had instructed Arthur to keep the entire process private, and although he trusted his driver completely, the waiting was

Author’s POVAt the park, Raven sat on a bench watching Liam run happily across the grass, chasing a ball that had rolled away from him. The little boy’s laughter carried through the peaceful afternoon, and despite everything that had happened between him and Elena, Raven found himself enjoying the simple moment more than he expected. He kept his eyes on Liam, making sure he stayed within sight, but there was something else holding his attention. Every now and then, Liam would turn around with a wide smile, and Raven couldn’t help smiling back. He still couldn’t understand why he had become so attached to the boy in such a short time. His phone suddenly vibrated in his pocket. Raven pulled it out and saw Arthur’s name on the screen. Since Arthur was both his driver and one of the few people he trusted completely, Raven answered immediately. “Yes, Arthur?” he said, keeping his eyes on Liam as the boy kicked the ball again. “Sir, I just wanted to check if you need the car brought clos

Author's POVRaven’s expression softened, a mixture of relief and uncertainty crossing his face as he looked at Elena. “Yeah, buddy,” he said, his voice quiet but sincere. “I’ll take you to the park on Saturday.” Liam’s face immediately brightened, all traces of disappointment disappearing as he rushed forward and wrapped his little arms around Raven’s waist. “Thank you, Mr. Raven!” he exclaimed happily. Raven laughed softly and gently patted his back, feeling a warmth in his chest that he couldn’t quite explain. There was something about Liam’s innocent affection that made it impossible for him to see the boy as just the child of the woman who had once been his wife. Over the past few days, he had grown unexpectedly fond of him, and every little interaction seemed to make that attachment stronger.“Go get ready for bed, sweetheart,” Elena said gently, watching them with a complicated expression. Liam nodded excitedly before running toward his room, already talking about all the thi

Author’s POV Liam’s face lit up with excitement as he looked up at Raven, his small hand still holding onto his fingers. “Can you come over for dinner?” he asked eagerly. “Mommy is making Jollof rice and fried turkey tonight. Please come. You can sit beside me.” Raven’s expression softened, but his eyes immediately moved toward Elena. She stood a few feet away, watching them with her arms folded across her chest. He could tell from her expression that she wasn’t entirely comfortable with the idea, and honestly, neither was he. “I wish I could, buddy,” Raven said gently. “I have a few things I need to take care of tonight.” Liam’s smile slowly disappeared, and his shoulders dropped. “Oh.” The disappointment in his voice hit Raven harder than he expected.Elena noticed the change in her son’s expression and sighed softly. She looked at Liam before turning her attention to Raven. “You can stay for dinner if you want,” she said, her voice calm but guarded. Raven looked at her in surpr

Author’s POVRaven stood inside the elevator, his heart pounding harder with every passing second as the lift carried him toward Elena’s apartment. He had spent most of the morning trying to convince himself that he had no reason to go downstairs, that Elena had already made it clear she wanted him to stay away from her and her family. But the more he tried to ignore the need to see her, the stronger it became. He needed to talk to her, even if she refused to listen. He needed to explain that his recent attempts to get closer weren’t about convenience or guilt. He had spent years believing he had made the right decision, only to realize that seeing Elena again had forced him to question everything he thought he knew about his life. When the elevator finally stopped, he stepped out and stood in front of her door for several seconds, staring at the bell as if it could somehow give him the courage he needed. After taking a deep breath, he pressed it.A few moments later, the door opened
