Stephanie couldn't believe her eyes as she stared at the shattered glass on the floor. What have they done?
"Why did you break it?" She turned to the kids and asked, her voice cracking a bit.
"Well, what do you think? You should probably be looking for a way to explain yourself to our dad when he gets home" Isabelle sniggered.
"What? I... I don't understand. You broke the frame, not me", Stephanie was confused.
"We know we did. But do you really think we plan on revealing ourselves?" Isabelle scoffed.
"When daddy gets home and finds his favourite frame broken, he might strangle you, or perhaps, lock you up for life. So, if I were you, I'd leave this very instant and never return", Isadora stepped forward.
"If you chose to live, it'd be better for you. So, just go 'cause we don't want you here".
