Cassie POV

My legs feel weak as I drive back to the house. My heart is racing. I need to tell that he is around

That he got into our pack without us even knowing.

I thought he said our pack was guarded with a whole lot of security and all.

But what if he finds out about us?

“He would not care, babe! He hates you. You are useless. It would give him more room to drive you away. Because now he can date”

“But what about the times he cheated? He hit another woman pregnant!” I scream, hitting the wheel.

Cleo laughs, a deep, mock-filled chuckle. “He is a man, Cassie. An Alpha. A fertile man at that. He can fuck whomever he wants, and he would be useful. But what are you?” She asked.

I can't even defend myself.

I can't say a word.

I just let her talk.

Allow her to calm me down.

Immediately, I got to the house. I ran towards our room, ready to tell Caspian what I saw.

“Caspian!” I screamed out loud, taking two steps at a time.

“Babe! I saw someone. I saw,” I barged into the room, pausing.

It feels like someone has dragged my heart out and sliced it into pieces just to throw it at me.

Caspian is on the bed, with Andrea, her lips buried deep inside his dick. His groan fills the whole room

I stand there absorbing every moment. “Oh my Gosh, Andrea!”

Andrew's eyes meet mine; she smiles before she keeps on going.

“Caspian!” I scream at the top of my voice.

He paused, jerking away. “Shit! Don’t you know how to knock?” He ask

A smile covers my lips. Looks like the memory of seeing them tighter made me realize that yes, I am doomed.

That he is far too gone to reach for

I smile. And take a seat on the couch. Andrea's smile flatters almost immediately.

“Can't you see I am doing something with my mate? Get out?”

I laugh, a very cold, moving laugh. “So tell me, Caspian, how is it going to be? You fuck her today and fuck me tomorrow?” I ask.

“Oh, please, why would you want to touch me?” Andrea asks as she sits beside me.

“Close these little boobs of yours,” I say, my voice filled with disgust. “Besides, I am talking to my mate. Or did he not inform you?” I ask.

His eyes move from me to Calsins. “Babe, what is she talking about?” She asked.

He glares at me. “What the hell do you think you are doing?” He ask

I shrug, putting on a smile even though my heart is burning "Answer your sister's question”

“Mate,” he corrects me

“Sister!” I snap and turn to her. “Your brother here is so selfish. He plans on keeping me as his second wife and you as his first wife”

Tears immediately fill Andrea's eyes. “Babe, is that true? You want to keep this old rag”

His eyes meet mine; he swallows hard.d “She is the reason. It would be bad to leave her like that”

“Do your parents know about this? Like,ke does her mum know you are giving her daughter”

His mother was my last hope. She would have been the only one who would have been open to making sure she talked some sense into him.

And now she is there.

“Can you go now? We were doing something before you came”

“Oh, please continue. You suggested a people's marriage, right? Fine. I would bring my own man here. And you can't say a word”

“You won't dare!” He snaps, his voice filled with anger

“Try me!” I turn and walk out of the room.

“Cassie!” I can hear his voice as he runs after me.

“Cassie, I am calling you! Stop there!”

I ignore him.

I open the next room. My clothes are not there.

In the other room, my clothes are still not there.

“Cassie!”

“What!” I ask, turning to meet him. “What the hell do you want from me. You suggested an open marriage! And I said yes. And you have an issue. You think you are the only one who gets to bring a spooky, insulting brat here! I have an option too. And where the hell are my clothes!” I scream in his face.

He paused, coming a step closer. For a moment, only breathing can be heard.

He kept on walking until he almost closed the gap between us; his scent filled my nostrils.

His hands caress my cheeks slowly; I close my eyes, letting the feeling run through me.

His thumb caresses my cheeks. “Look at me,” he whispers.

My eyes meet his own; the warmth that I have searched for the last three days is there. “You are hurting me, Caspian So badly. It's not fair”

“You know what is also not fair?” he asked. “You think that you would be wanted. Thinking that any man would desire you. It's unfair to your body to think that someone would want it”

He pushes me back, and I almost stagger and fall down the rail. The warmth that he has displayed dissolves once more

And somehow I find myself searching for it anywhere.

“Jokes on you, Caspian. And I am very thankful you are not my mate. You know why?” I ask.

He shakes his head. “Because I am too honoured to be your mate”

“Wrong. You think so highly of yourself, and that would be your downfall. But I am happy because if I were your mate, you would have smelt another man's scent on me. I visited the club, Caspian.

And someone way above you frustrated me. Men would desire me. The men in that club are just like you, running to get the next pussy that is available for you. Your sister is the next.
