Life and Death April 25, 2009 (Close to midnight) Lucille I set foot in the dark foreboding tunnel and immediately grabbed Jasper’s arm. The coldness and dank stale air made it hard to breathe. Boo pointed the flashlight ahead and I swallowed hard seeing the long path with the light only reaching a few meters. The rest was pitch dark and made me think of the movie I am Legend. Pretty woman April 26, 2009 Boo Last night, I left Lucille unconscious with Steph and ran with Dr. Steward to the viewing area because a nurse had paged him that Jasper was in code blue. A doctor was pushing on his chest and using that thing they used in the movies where they shock your heart. I forgot what it was called, but they used it again and again alternating with the other doctor who did the cpr. "Jas. Please fight! Come on, man. You just came back into my life. Don't leave again, damn it. Don't leave me!" The pain in my knuckles, as I hit the wall, didn't hurt as much as the crushing pain in my chest while I thought of Jasper's life slipping away.
