Chapter 27 – The Queen’s Answer
‘I’d rather not!’ was what Solene would have said if she had her voice, but Caym—now more cautious—didn’t beguile her to speak, so instead, her answer to his invitation was a flat look on her face.Caym’s brow twitched. With her helmet on, he couldn’t see the silent answer, but he understood exactly just what it was. In reply, he stepped closer to whisper in her ear. “You will not reject me in front of my people, Solene.”
