INVITATION TO A PARTY

CAMILLA

“Three mates?" I ask in shock, to no one in particular. "One...two...thr-" Ah! I can't believe this!

I'm still running, trying to get as far away from them as possible but I can see their men are closing in on me. If they catch me, then I'm doomed because I can't bring myself to handle those three energetic men all at once!

Growing up, I dreamt of shifting at around thirteen just like every other wolf and to my delight, that happened and I shifted to my beautiful brown wolf immediately I turned thirteen.

After shifting, all I dreamt of was to meet my mate especially on my eighteenth birthday. Immediately I graduated from high school, a party was thrown in my favour and other new adults so as to enable us to meet our mates but to my disappointment, most of my age mates met their mates but I didn't.

Being an Alpha's daughter, that came as a shock to them but my parents tried to hide the disappointment and together, we patiently waited for me to meet my mate and our prayer was for it to be sooner!

Well, I hit nineteen but still I hadn't met him and that's when my parents started throwing it to my face, showing how displeased they were with me for being such a failure. It wasn't my fault that I hadn't met my mate and I believed he'd come my way sooner or later.

Being their only daughter, mom and dad decided to send me to a college in the city and instructed me to stay there until I met my mate. They always kept on comparing me to my younger brother who was only seventeen and he had already met his mate hence being prepared to become the next Alpha.

Even though my parents showed all that favourism to my brother Kelvin, he never showed me any hatred or disrespect and together with his mate, they kept on encouraging me to wait upon the moon goddess for she had good plans for me. And I took their words to heart!

"Stop running Camilla," one of the triplet's men shouts, though not in a harsh tone. "We just want to take you to the Alphas."

Right now, I'm panting and still running, hoping to get to the Pack's territory but it seems my efforts are about to prove futile.

'Why did I attend the party in the first place? Why did my parents force me to attend?' Agggr! I wish I'm still in the city studying at the college that mom and dad sent me to!

I'm already twenty and in my second year in college. I've been having peaceful studies in a college full of humans and to be sincere, I like it there.

No parents to nag me because I don't have a mate, no one to pressurise me to look for him and I'm just taking my time.

It's only last week when mom called me to inform me that the Blue moon's Alphas sons were looking for their mates.

Blue moon is a neighbouring Pack whose Alpha sired triplets over twenty years ago and they've been studying overseas all this while.

Mom informs me that they're now back and the only reason why they haven't been coronated as the Pack's Alphas is because they don't have mates yet.

"When did they come back?" I ask curiously. Of course I know those naughty boys and to be sincere, I wouldn't want to be associated with them. We used to meet when we were growing up and they always portrayed themselves as arrogant and spoilt brats.

"Two weeks ago." She replies. "So far, they've thrown two parties and they're yet to meet their mate and as you know, they're supposed to have only one mate because they're triplets."

"What?" I gasp. "Three male mates against one female mate?" I ask in shock. Anyway, I know that we never got along therefore that won't be me!

"Please come back home immediately so as to be able to attend their party on Friday." Mom persuades me.

"What about my studies? I'm studying for my exams mom and wouldn't want to fail." I try to reason with her.

"Just come for your father's sake. He promised Alpha Greene that you will attend so please don't let him down." She continues pleading with me.

"But mom-"

"Do it for me...for your old man's sake. Do it for us, Camilla." Mom says. "We'll be expecting you before Friday, baby." She then hangs up.

'Baby?' This is new coming from mom who has been cold towards me simply because our mother the moon goddess didn't sent a mate to me on my eighteenth birthday.

Sighing, I sit up on bed and lean my head against the bed. On one hand, I don't want to heed to their call but on the other hand, I can't disappoint them. Afterall, they're my parents and no matter what, I'll always be answerable to them!

Before I can come up with a reliable solution, I receive a call from Emanuel. Sighing, I pick it and mumble an 'hello'.

"Baby, What's up?" He asks excitedly. "Are we still going to the movies on Friday night?" He asks curiously. I sigh heavily as I look for a suitable reply. I don't want to let him down but still, I can't disappoint my parents.

Emanuel is my boyfriend and I've been seeing him for the past six months now. He's twenty two, a werewolf and a lecturer at my college but even though we aren't mates, our bloods clicked and we've been in love since then.

I know Emanuel's Pack but I haven't been there before. I know the Pack's Alpha and his Luna but I've never met his children. Emanuel told me that he's just a member of that Pack and he just decided to pursue his career as a lecturer instead of slaving away for his Pack!

"How about we chat tomorrow after lectures?" I ask him. "I'm sleepy right now and I'm not thinking straight."

"But we had planned already baby. I just wanted to confirm."

"We shall hold this conversation tomorrow dear," I insist. "I'm so sleepy!" I say while stifling a yawn to make it appear real.

He sighs from the other side and mumbles an 'okay' and a 'good night'.

I put my phone on silent and place it on the bedside table. I need to think right now so as to avoid disappointing the ones I love.

Emanuel is quite understanding. I know for sure that he will lend me a listening ear although I won't disclose the reason as to why I'll be travelling back home. Afterall, I'll go back to him and we shall continue from where we left.

Emanuel doesn't seem to be in a hurry to take me to bed and neither am I in a hurry to give myself to him therefore I'm still pure and untouched.

After having a discussion with him, I make him understand that my parents need me back home and he releases me half heartedly. I embark on my journey back home, knowing quite well that I'm past the mate searching age and none of the triplets will be my mate. Little did I know!

I keep on running, hoping to cross the Blue moon Pack's territory but it seems my efforts aren't paying up. The men are already a few metres away from me.

"I don't want to go back to them!" I state nonchalantly immediately the first man gets to where I am. "Let me go back to my Pack, now!" I command them using a harsh tone as learnt from my father but the man just giggles.

"You are our Alphas' mate and they won't let you go without a proper chat." He tries to reason with me. The rest of the men have already reached where I am seated. I'm too tired to continue running, given that I haven't trained for over a year now. "Just come back with us and I'm sure they will take you back to your parents' Pack!" He tries to sweet talk me.

"I-I-" I trail in my own voice. I'm unable to construct a sentence due to tiredness.

"Come Camilla," the man says while extending his hand to me. "I'm sure Charles, Ben and Jeremy are eagerly waiting for you!"

I ignore his hand but either way decide to follow them back to the Pack House.

As we walk back to the Pack house, I can't help but recall how all these events unfolded and how I discovered that the triplets are my mates.

I remember arriving at the Blue moon Pack earlier today in the company of several other Pack girls who are also here in search of their mates. My brother the Alpha and his mate accompanied us too even though their aim wasn't to search for their mates.

The party had already kicked off and without wasting any time, we headed to the banquet hall where everything was taking place.

The triplets weren't in there yet but someone informed us that they'd be arriving soon. I kept myself busy on my phone, chatting with my boyfriend Emanuel and even took a drink and then looked for a nice spot to sit.

All along, I knew that I had no chances of being one of their mates so I was quite disinterested in whatever everyone else was busy doing.

Some girls had overdid their make up, others had worn long eyelashes while others dressed skimpily to impress the triplets. As for me, I had slipped into a wine red dinner dress and held my hair into a ponytail. I chose a pair of white heels and a silver clutch bag to complement my look.

My knee length off shoulder dress wasn't that revealing and I felt so much comfortable in it.

A few minutes later, the triplets showed up and when I saw them from a far, I couldn't help but marvel at how big, masculine and huge they'd grown. The last time I saw them they were barely thirteen and just naughty and arrogant kids.

As they approach, a strong scent hits my nose and I stay on alert, trying to perceive where it's coming from. Another scent hits me, and another....three fucking sweet smelling scents!

One of them smelt of a mixture strawberries and sandalwood while the second one was that of vanilla and mint and the third one which was more intoxicating smelt of roses, jasmine and lavender. I couldn't help but inhale them while closing my eyes and before long, I realised that they were closer than I thought.

I instinctively opened my eyes only for them to land on three pairs of sexy eyes which were all scanning the bouquet hall and when they met mine, they fixed their gazes on me.

'Mates!' my wolf screamed in my mind, suddenly arising and jumping excitedly, fighting to be let out.

Immediately our eyes met, my senses bounced back and all the blood drained on my face, definitely becoming pale as if I had seen ghosts. Without giving it a second thought, I rose up from the seat that I had taken and turned then took to my heels, running towards the exit. I had only one plan in my mind....to run as far away from them as possible!

"Camilla, you scared us!" I'm standing face to face with my brother, his mate and the triplets. Kelvin has just expressed his worries but my eyes are on the three sexy gods right in front of me. Them being sexy doesn't mean I regret running away from them though! I'd do that again and again because I don't think I'm destined to be mated to a whole clan!

My brother walks closer to me and engulfs me in a hug, something which doesn't sit well with the triplets because they all growl protectively, the three of them walking towards us. Damn, he's my brother and they don't want him to hug me! I'm in trouble if these are the kind of jealous and overprotective guys that I'm destined to spend the rest of my life with!

"I don't want to be here with you!" I state, eyeing them daringly. "Kelvin, please take me home, now!"
