Chapter 213 Asher/Gabriel

Asher's POV

My stomach dropped and my blood ran cold as soon as I heard the explosion. I screamed for my son as I ran forward.

I could feel he was hurt.

As soon as I turn down that hall I could see all the smoke and debris everywhere.

I made it to the stairs that went down to the basement. The door that was at the top was blasted away.

The stairwell was dark and full of smoke. I could hear frantic voices, groans and the sound of Gabriel crying.

I grab my phone, turning on the flashlight as I made my way down. Stepping over bodies and pieces of bodies as I continue down.

I call for both boys, I hear the grunt and cough of my son and Gabriel's voice crying out to me.

"We're right here!"

I move forward faster, trying not to step on anyone. I feel relieved when I see them. I drop down next to them, but I'm horrified at what I see.

There's a large chunk of wood sticking out of my son's stomach. He looks at me with a pained face.

"Oh goddess Malaki!" I say as I bring a shaky hand toward him.
