Maddox's POV

I groan and wake up as I hear the sound of the table scraping across the floor. I open my eyes and see all the dried blood on my body and on the floor below me.

Too weak to raise my head I let it hang. My right arm drops as the chain comes undone followed by my left arm and I fall forward onto the table with a loud thump. The chains are jerked upwards pulling my arms above my head where they secure the cains to the table legs at the other end.

The cold metal table actually feels good on my wounds. I lay there too weak to move, too weak to say anything, not sure if anything would actually come out if I tried to talk. Not after all the screaming I did last night when they practically tore all the skin off my body with the whip.

Their voices sound muffled, almost far away as they talk. Everything looks blurry when I try to focus on anything.
