Chapter 10: Property and Rage

**Enzo’s POV**

I watched Noah’s face, pale and wide-eyed, filled with fear. My chest twisted, a mix of sadness and anger burning through me. Moses, my wolf, had gone too far, trying to claim him like some prize. I fought him back, clawing my way into control, and now I stood there, my hands shaking, looking at the kid I’d scared half to death. “Are you okay?” I asked, my voice rough but softer than I meant.

He didn’t answer. Just stared at me, his body pressed against the wall, like I was a monster. I took a step forward, wanting to explain, but he flinched, moving back further. That fear in his eyes hit me harder than I expected. I clenched my jaw, turned, and walked out, the door slamming behind me. I couldn’t stay there, not with Moses still growling in my head, not with Noah looking at me like that.

I stormed into my office, the door banging against the wall. Rage boiled inside me, at myself, at Moses, at everything. I grabbed the papers on my de

Chapter 66: ♥ Breaking the BladeDean’s I watched Noah walk away, his steps quick and his eyes actively avoiding mine. The way he moved—as if he couldn’t stand the sight of me—hit harder than I wanted to admit. I leaned against my car and lit a cigarette, trying desperately to quiet the chaotic mess in my head. The smoke burned down my throat, but it did not calm me.My mind kept replaying Stan’s words from earlier: reject each other. The thought made my chest tighten painfully. Vex growled in my head, his voice sharp and impatient. He’s slipping away, Dean. Fix it before it’s too late.I rubbed the back of my neck, letting out a heavy breath. Everything felt like it was fracturing. My mom’s demand to kill Enzo, with that cursed Wolfblood Killer knife, Stan’s cold distance—it was all overwhelming.A few minutes later, I saw Stan walking out of the school doors. His face looked pale, his eyes dark and tired. He didn’t even look my way. He went straight to the car, opened the back door

Chapter 65: ♥ Fractured Ties Noah’s I slumped in my classroom chair, drawing aimless, meaningless lines across the page of my notebook. My pencil scratched softly against the paper, a quiet, repetitive sound that did nothing to stop my thoughts from wandering. It had been days since Stan had backed me into a corner with his brutal warning about Dean and the Wolfblood Killer knife. The memory was a dull ache I couldn't shake. Now, every time I passed him in the halls, he would turn his head and walk down a different path, as if I were something toxic he didn’t want to come near. For a moment, I found myself wondering if I was the one who had fundamentally done something wrong. Taking his wolf, leaving him weak—it was never what I had intended. The image of the moment the power had left him still made my chest tighten with a painful squeeze. Guilt followed me like a heavy, suffocating shadow, always close and impossible to outrun. With everything else happening—Enzo’s mom causing n

Chapter 64: ♥ Passion and Peril Noah’s The drive home was quiet. Too quiet. The low hum of the car engine filled the empty space between us, but inside my chest absolutely everything felt loud and restless. Dean’s cold, intense stare still fiercely burned in my head. Every time I blinked, I vividly saw his eyes fixed on me, sharp as deadly knives. Enzo parked the car in front of the house and absolutely didn’t say a single word. Neither did I. He reached for my hand as we went inside, his touch strong and steady, completely grounding me even as my troubled thoughts fiercely spun. Once completely inside, he pulled me down onto the couch with him, his strong arm wrapped tightly around me. His body was warm, strong, and completely safe. I let myself fully lean into him, my face close enough to intensely feel his warm breath. His dark eyes stayed intently locked on mine, calm but deep, and that sincere look alone made my pulse instantly quicken. He leaned in close, his lips gently br

Chapter 63: ♥ Heartbeats in Danger James’s I trudged slowly down the quiet street toward home, heavily dragging my sneakers against the rough pavement. Each painful scuff of the rubber sounded much louder than it truly should, like the entire world had instantly gone quiet just to harshly highlight my intense nerves. My mind absolutely wouldn’t let go of what happened earlier in the loud cafeteria. The look on Noah’s face when Stan suddenly showed up—shaken, intensely angry, and completely unsettled—still deeply stuck with me. It had been enough to instantly put a cold, icy pit in my stomach. Noah absolutely wasn’t easy to rattle, not anymore, after all he’d endured. He had been through far too much already. So if Stan could completely shake him like that, it clearly meant serious trouble, and not just the usual daily drama. I shoved my hands deep into my pockets and kept moving, desperately trying to convince myself it absolutely wasn’t my problem to solve. Noah had Enzo, after a

Chapter 62: ♥ Deadly Secrets Noah’s Stan’s shocking words fiercely rattled in my skull like heavy chains I absolutely couldn’t shake off. Dean would kill Enzo. The sharp sound of the very idea fiercely echoed so loud it completely drowned out everything else around me. A bitter, shaky laugh slipped from me, sharp and uncontrollable. My hands severely trembled as I urgently forced myself to fully meet his wet eyes. “That’s absolutely nothing new to me,” I snapped, my voice instantly rising without full control. “Dean absolutely can’t kill Enzo. You truly know that fact. Enzo’s much stronger than him. He always has been the stronger one.” But Stan absolutely didn’t look convinced at all. His eyes were dark and worried, his skin deathly pale, his voice so low I absolutely had to lean closer to clearly hear him. “You truly don’t get the severity of the situation,” he muttered, urgently stepping forward, his shoes loudly squeaking against the tile floor. “Yeah, Enzo’s technically stron

Chapter 61: ♥ Dangerous Truths Noah’s The lunchroom intensely buzzed with loud voices, clattering trays, and the dull scrape of chairs, but all of it completely blurred as I nervously pushed through the crowd. My tray wobbled heavily in my hands, milk loudly sloshing over the sides, and I quickly slid into a vacant seat beside James. He already had that familiar grin—the easy one that clearly said he absolutely wasn’t truly worried about anything at all. His eyes were bright and alert, mischief sitting in them like it perfectly belonged there. For a brief second, it made me intensely feel normal and safe, like we were just two regular kids at school instead of everything else heavily hanging over us. “Finally,” he said, playfully poking at the food on his tray. “I truly thought you were gonna completely ditch me here.” I laughed softly and set my tray down carefully. “I absolutely had to successfully get past the raging stampede,” I said. “You already know exactly how it truly is
