ログイン“Looks like you have to join your comrades in hell now, Lucas,” I said as I pointed the gun on his head.
Blood was dripping on his face as he knelt down in front of me, “I-I’m begging you, Sylus. Forgive me, please… I still have a family… I have a wife…I—
Before he could even finish what he was about to say, I already pulled the trigger and shot him dead.
“Pleading won’t work on me, Lucas. Especially for a fucking traitor like you.” I said as I tossed the gun to the floor and removed the gloves I was wearing.
“Boss, are we going to meet with Theodore Ornelli?”
“No. Let’s visit him tomorrow instead. What time is it already?” I asked Jerome, my personal assistant for ten years.
He glanced at his watch and looked at me, “It’s already six in the evening, Sir.”
“Let’s head to the kindergarten.”
“Yes, boss.”
I took off my coat that has a blood stain the moment the limo stopped in front of the kindergarten. I stepped out of the car and smiled as soon as I saw a little girl sitting on a bench waving at me. She has a long blonde hair and hazel brown eyes just like her mom. She looks exactly like her.
“Daddy!” she cooed and started running towards me the moment she saw me.
I bent down and hugged her tightly, “I’m sorry daddy is late. I just had to attend something. Did you wait so long here?”
“It’s alright, daddy. My friends accompanied me anyway while I was waiting for you. One of my best friend’s mom even bought us some sandwich.”
“Really? That’s good then. By the way, would you like to eat outside? I would also buy you an ice cream since you waited for daddy.”
Her eyes widened and eyes looked as if they were sparkling the moment she heard what I just said, “Yes, I’d love that! I want to eat ice cream!”
“Alright. Everything for my princess.”
I held her hand as we started walking towards a restaurant near the kindergarten.
Natalia is my five-year old daughter. Ever since her mom disappeared, I had to raise her on my own.
“Daddy, do you think mommy will still come back to us?” Natalie asked me as I tucked her in.
“Of course, sweet heart. Mommy will come back. You know how much she loves us, right?”
“Yes, daddy. I wonder what’s taking her so long. Maybe we can just ask our driver to pick her up from where she is right now.”
I chuckled and kissed her on the forehead, “We can’t do that, sweetheart. Maybe if you continue being a good girl, mommy will eventually come back to us. We just have to wait. Do you understand me?”
“Yes, daddy. I promise to be a good girl so mommy will finally go back to us again.”
“That’s my girl. Go to sleep now.”
“Good night, daddy.”
“Good night, my baby.”
As soon as Natalia finally fell asleep, I left her room and went to mine. I sat on the edge of my bed and reached for the picture frame which contains our family photo. It was taken three years ago when my beloved wife and the only woman I have ever loved, Charlotte Greene was still here with us.
We loved each other so much. Charlotte was the only one who taught me how to love when all I ever wanted to do was to kill all of my enemies and be alone forever. Marrying her was the best decision I have ever made. We became happier when Natalia came into our lives.
One day when she was on her way home from a business trip, the plane that she was riding suddenly crashed. Upon the thorough investigation, we have only found the body of the pilot, his assistant, and the personal maid of my wife. Charlotte’s body was never found.
That is why until now, I still believe that she is still alive and she will come back to us someday.
If that ever happen, I will promise to never leave her alone again. I will never let her go by herself anymore.
I will do everything for her to come back to me again.
“I love you so much, Charlotte. I hope you come back to us soon…” I whispered as I lay down on my bed.

“Sylus, I think you already need to stop searching for Charlotte. It’s been three years already, I don’t think it would take this long to find her if she is still alive,” Luke, the older brother of Charlotte said to me.
I shook my head, “I will never stop searching for her until the day I die. I still believe that she is still alive. You are his brother, why are you talking like you don’t even want to see her again?”
“Of course I want to see her again. What I am trying to say is that, do not think your world stopped just because Charlotte is no longer here. If she is still here, for sure she wouldn’t want to see you this miserable, too. You have a child, you need to take care of her and yourself, too.”
“I know what I’m doing, Luke. You don’t have to tell me what to do. No matter what you say, I will keep on searching for Charlotte. If you’re already losing hope, then I am not.”
He let out a deep sigh, “I know that you love my sister so much, but as your brother-in-law, I don’t like it when I see you miserable. You know I already treat you as my brother, too. If you really want to still search for Charlotte, then do it. Whenever you need help, just call me.”
“Thanks.”
“By the way, can I come over to your house some other time to visit Natalia?”
“Of course. She’s been looking for you, too.”
The dimly lit hallway of the mansion seemed to stretch on forever, the shadows dancing on the walls like specters of my guilt. It was 4:30 AM, the city still shrouded in the dark veil of night, the only sound the distant hum of the city outside the windows. I stood frozen, my heart heavy with the weight of what I was about to do. I took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm raging inside me. This was part of the plan, I reminded myself. Get in, get the info, and get out. But it wasn't that simple anymore. The lines between Charlotte and Carmine had blurred, like the edges of a watercolor painting left out in the rain. I looked into the bedroom where Sylus and Natalia were sleeping. Sylus' arm was wrapped around his pillow, like he was holding onto something precious, his chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. Natalia was curled up with her favorite stuffed animal, a tiny smile on her face, her eyelids fluttering with a dream. I felt a pang in my chest, like a violin str
The autumn sun cast a golden glow over New York City as Sylus suggested a family outing with Natalia. "Let's spend the day in Central Park," he said, his voice low and smooth, like the jazz playing in the background.I felt a pang in my chest, a quiet ache that I'd been trying to ignore. This was it. Soon, I'd have to leave. But for now, I wanted to savor this day, to bottle it up and keep it forever. We walked through the Upper East Side streets, the trees lining the sidewalk like sentinels, their leaves rustling in the gentle breeze. Natalia skipped ahead, her laughter carrying on the wind, as she chased after a squirrel that was trying to steal a pretzel from a street vendor. As we entered the park, Sylus took my hand, his fingers intertwining with mine like they belonged there. Like we were a real couple, a real family. I felt a flutter in my chest, a tiny spark of hope that I quickly tamped down. This wasn't real, I reminded myself. It was just a job, a means to an end.We stroll
"Thank you for taking care of me when I got sick," Luke said to me as he handed me a cup of iced coffee. He went to the company to return the jacket that I have forgotten at his pad. I shook my head and smiled at him. "It's alright. If you don't feel really well, just call me. I can take care of you." "Oh, so you are a nurse now?" "Well, I won't say that I'm good at it, but I think I was able to take care of you." He nodded his head and smiled, "You're right. If you didn't stay that night, for sure my fever would've gotten worse." "It's nothing. By the way, thanks for the coffee." "Alright. By the way, where is Sylus?" he suddenly asked. "He is in a meeting right now." "I see. By the way, how's your family's company? Is it doing alright now?" I nodded my head as I put the cup of coffee down. "It's doing really fine now. My dad is already asking me to go back to my normal life as Carmine, but I don't think I can just leave whenever I want." Luke stared at me for
I felt a flutter in my chest as Sylus's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze burning with intensity. "Fine," I said. "But if I am late for work, you're the one to blame." Sylus chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'll take the risk then," he said, his voice low and husky. I could feel my hands shaking as I reached out and wrapped my hand around his shaft. It was soft and warm, and I could feel it twitching in my hand as I began to stroke it gently. Sylus's eyes closed, his head tilting back as I worked my hand up and down his length. I felt a surge of power, knowing that I was the one making him feel that way. "Use your mouth," he suddenly whispered, his voice barely audible. I was hesitating at first, but then I leaned forward, my lips brushing against the head of his shaft. It was soft and smooth, and I could taste the saltiness of his skin. I licked my lips, trying to gather my courage. I never did this with anyone before, and I still can't believe I am doing t
I opened the door to our apartment, expecting a quiet morning after taking care of Luke. But as I stepped inside, I saw Sylus lounging on the couch, looking way too smug . He was wearing those low-slung jeans that made him look like he just rolled out of bed – which, knowing him, he probably did – and a plain white shirt that was unbuttoned at the top, showing a hint of his chest. His hair was messy, and his eyes sparkled with amusement as he looked up at me. "Charlotte," he said, standing up and walking towards me with that lazy confidence of his. His eyes scanned me like he was checking if I was okay, lingering on my face a bit longer than necessary. "How's Luke?" I shrugged, trying to play it cool as I dropped my bag on the floor. "He's fine. Better now." I kicked off my shoes and walked towards the kitchen, trying to put some distance between us. I needed a moment to breathe after dealing with Luke's weirdness about the portrait. Sylus followed me into the kitchen, leaning a
I was sitting beside Luke, watching him sleep, when he suddenly stirred. "Carmine...?" he whispered, his voice barely audible. I immediately stood up and went to his side. "I'm here, Luke. Do you need something?" I asked, trying to sound calm. He looked at me, his eyes hazy and confused. "Who... who are you?" he asked, his brow furrowed in confusion. I felt a pang of worry. Was he okay? Was his fever getting worse? I tried to keep my voice steady. "I'm Carmine, Luke. Your... friend. Do you remember me?" Luke's eyes searched my face, and for a moment, I thought he was going to recognize me. But then he shook his head, his eyes clouding over. "I... I don't know. What's happening?" I felt a shiver run down my spine. What was going on? Was this normal? I tried to think of what to do, but my mind was a blank. Just then, Luke's eyes started to droop, and he leaned back into the pillows, his body relaxing. "Luke? Luke, stay awake," I said, trying to keep him conscious. But it w
I leaned back in my chair, sipping my coffee as I watched Charlotte walk into the dining hall. She looked like a ray of sunshine, her smile bright and carefree. But I knew better. I knew she was hiding something.I'd been suspicious for a while, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. That was un
I woke up to an empty bed, the sheets beside me cold and rumpled. I sat up, rubbing my eyes, and looked around the room. No sign of Sylus. I wondered where he could be. I got out of bed and quickly got dressed, deciding to grab some breakfast downstairs. Maybe Sylus was waiting for me in the dini
The sun was shining bright as we stepped out of the hotel, the warm breeze carrying the sweet scent of orange blossoms through the streets of Madrid. Sylus smiled, his eyes sparkling with amusement, as he took my hand."Today, we're going to play tourist," he said, his voice low and husky. "What do
I wore a white formal dress and tied my hair up for my meeting with Mr. Hermano. Sylus smiled at me as soon as I stepped out of our hotel room. "I wouldn't think twice on hurting Mr. Hermano if he ever tries to hit on you because of how fucking hot you look in that dress of yours," he said, look
