EVELYN stepped out of the university building , the late afternoon sun casting a warm glow on the campus. She was deep in conversation with her Mateo who joined her in the last class.

Mateo had his arm casually draped around her shoulder. They were trying to maintain a cordial distance , but Evelyn knew it was a delicate balance.

Her husband was watching her from a distance. He leaned against his car , his piercing eyes fixed on a scene unfolding before him. His tall muscular frame tensed as he saw the familiarity between his wife and her ex.

His long black hairs , tied back neatly accentuated the intensity of his gaze. As soon as her eyes fell on her husband , a smile appeared on her lips. She gently pulled herself away from Mateo’s arm and walked over to him.

As soon as she reached over to him , she tiptoed and placed a kiss. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close and kissed her back making her smile. Their bodies pressed against each other firmly as
