Chapter Twenty

♕—Delilah

I whisked the pancake batter furiously, I didn't go to sleep the last night. The cuts on my back weren't so deep, and after Lorenzo patched them up, they didn't really sting anymore unless I lean my back against something.

Lorenzo was still asleep when I freshened up and came into the kitchen. Delilah Regina isn't a coward and I have come to terms with my kidnapping if that even makes sense.

I know I'm kidnapped and there's no escaping from a man like Lorenzo, If anything I'll end up never seeing my family and Jack again.

I poured the batter onto the pan and then waited for it to cook before flipping it. I placed three pancakes on my plate and three on Lorenzo's. I put a dollop of butter on top and grabbed the maple syrup bottle and went into the dining room. I placed our breakfast on the table and made my way back to the bedroom.

I opened the door and stilled, Lorenzo was standing shirtless in the room only in his black slacks.
