She doesn't realize what she's doing to me. I can see it in the way her eyes are squeezed shut, lips parted as she waits for the thunder to pass.

It has. But she still clings to me, her fingertips digging into my chest, almost drawing blood.

“Please,” she whispers, barely audible. “I hate it when it rains.”

I fucking know that. What I don't get is why she won't tell me why. She’s keeping me in the dark and expects me to just go along with it.
