Mariana Adams' Point of ViewI had been inside my room for a while, doing nothing more than relaxing, when for some reason I got the idea to call Ares. To tell you the truth, I was merely attempting to call him so that I could fill him in on what had transpired today and let him know that I had seen Lorenzo. Ares' phone rang a few times, and then he picked it up and pretended he wasn't busy when he answered it. "Hey, he seems to have a bit of pep in his step." "Did something take place?" he queried. While I was supine on my bed, I pursed my lips into a pout. "Nothing, baby. I just got off the phone with you…""Have you been thinking about me already? I warned you that you shouldn't go, and you should have just stayed—" I got him to back off by laughing a little bit first. "Oh, love, you're just too much. Put an end to your ruminating. I'm doing well, and I wanted to let you know that I phoned because I'm aware of how much you adore me.""That is, to some extent, true. Now, tell me,
Mariana Adams' Point of View There seemed to be a hard rock stuck in my mouth. As cold tears streamed down my cheeks, I hugged my cold body while crying silently in the corner of the room. I vaguely remember that my grandmother often saves me whenever I am in the dark because she knows I don’t like being in it. But she could no longer get me out of this strange, and locked room right now. Several separate railway tracks of thought formed in my head. Knowing I was sold to a man I don't know has left me unable to breathe easily and unable to buy basic necessities. At this point, all I care about is getting back to my house. I'd like to have a place of my own, longing for my grandmother but I’m unable to do anything right now. My sobbing moment ceased when I heard the door creak, and a man who was tall and had a huge tummy came in and grabbed my hand as if I were a beggar down in the streets. "Where are you going to take me?" I recoiled, attempting to wrench my body away from him.
Mariana Adams’ Point of View A few days ago… Even though my eyes were puffy, I managed to smile in front of the mirror. Liam, my boyfriend, asked to see me after my grandmother's funeral. I didn't have the energy to get up yet, but based on the text message I received from him, I'm sure the topic we'll be discussing is urgent. As I looked around our apartment, I could still see my grandmother standing there, smiling at me. But the thought of her no longer being a part of this world breaks my heart. I tried to bite my lip while fixing my bag to prevent myself from crying. My grandmother died as a result of a terminal illness. There was a chance to extend her life, but my cousin and I couldn't afford it. But, thankfully, we were able to borrow a large sum of money from loan sharks right around the corner. "What is it that you want to talk about?" I inquired while sitting across from her in a restaurant. It may be late, but I won't let this precious day pass without even getting
Mariana Adams' Point of View I woke up without seeing anything. My eyes were blindfolded while my hands and feet were tied."She’s awake, boss," one familiar man spat out.The last thing I remembered before falling into a deep, dark slumber was bumping into a man and, afterwards, being flanked by these loan sharks. My lips were also taped shut. I tried to move, hoping to untangle the rope that was tied over my hands, but I couldn't. Things from before I passed out began to return slowly, and my heart began to pound violently. The blindfold has taken off, as has the tape over my mouth. I spotted big men with big tummies, and they all had tattoos on their bodies. Their body size makes me tremble, not to mention they can snap my neck with a single grasp."Where’s the money you borrowed, young lady?" The old man, who was wearing a cap and puffing a cigarette, asked.Because I was too nervous to speak, I didn't say much. Furthermore, the money I was about to pay was stolen from us. I'm af
Mariana Adams' Point of View Unlike the few girls that have been bought by these men, my bidding started at a jaw-dropping amount. I never thought that a mere, simple girl like me would start bidding at $20,000 in an underground black market like this. "Her name is Mariana. As you can see, she's fresh… never been touched and completely a maiden. Our girl for the night is her, and the bidding will start at the amount flashed on the screen." Even if the emcee was still talking, many people began to raise their cards. The first one who raised was an old man with an amount of $30, 000 until people inside began to become crazy bidding for a high possible amount in order to claim me. Most of them were old people who had a huge tummy and an unpleasant appearance. I wanted to cry and run away from them but upon reckoning about what happened to the girl earlier made me freeze. "$100,000 dollars, $135,000! $200,000 going once, going twice!" The crowd began to become aggressive. I could se
Mariana Adams' Point of View Present time…My brain couldn't process his spontaneous decision. We didn't see each other for days as I was imprisoned within the room. Even if he stated I wouldn't eat unless he said so, I refused to listen to him and instead sneaked out of my room and went into the kitchen. As I stood on the balcony, I took a deep breath and peered out the window. I couldn't remember the name of this place but it was located near the shore and the mansion was just beside the calming sea. "Miss Mariana," Beth called my name. She's the only housekeeper here who does the chores often. I veered around and saw her. "Why did you come out of your room? Boss said you can't go out yet without his permission." I rolled my eyes in the ears before tugging the strands of my hair at the back of my ears caused by the wind. "But he's not around." I spat out. Beth took a deep breath and grabbed my hand. "Let's go back inside your room, Miss Mariana." "It's boring inside!" It's
Mariana Adams' Point of ViewMy heart was pounding when Ares was holding my arm. His manly scent lingered on my nose as his scoundrel stares got me.I took my arms away and then gulped. "I… I am not!" I hesitated to tell him to believe in me. His eyebrows twitched, his expression remained the same. "The bathroom was full and I was trying to find an alternative comfort room." Ares craned his neck, he doesn't seem to sway based on my explanation. He was hardly not believing. Not to mention the alibi I've said was a stupid thing. Well, I can't think of another problem to spit out because I was so damn nervous! "You're searching for another, really?" He stated as he began to come close, bearing his cold eyes beforehand. I began taking two steps back. My inner self desired to scream but seeing everyone around the area was his men, standing like robots. "Explain why you have to run while looking behind?" he asked, caughting me. "Because my men were running after you." "That's not t-t
Mariana Adams’ Point of View My body felt hot. His callous palms were giving me hot flashes of thoughts in my mind. I was on top of the surface of the bed whilst I had him above. Ares' kisses are driving me insane but since I'm not used to making out, I couldn't get the rhythm of his tongue along with his urging sloppiness. His hands crept on the zipper behind my dress as he began to pull it down while my attention and thoughts was focused more on his burning sensation he had me feeling. I thought that he would pull it down yet all the things I was wearing were now broken because of him. "You've messed up e-everything!" I muttered, eyes widening. "It's a Vera W-Wang dress!" His eyebrows arched then smirked. "It's not that pricey. I could give you a hundred if you want." "But—" Ares trailed me off in the middle of my conversation with him. I was condemned by my thoughts, confused whether to let him touch me this way or push his huge body structure. But I know it won't work. “You
