CHAPTER FOUR

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Archer took Valencia to hospital, bodyguards made way for them to the doctor's cabin. Doctor was already informed about this.

"Please sit down, Mr and Ms. Cruz." Doctor says and Archer pulls a chair for Valencia.

"Ms. Cruz, please let me see your wounds." Doctor says and Val shows him scratches on her arms and bandage hand.

Doctor took off the bandage and carefully looked at her hand. He took out the remaining small pieces of glass from her hand and bandaged her arms carefully.

Valencia bit her lower lips to suppress her whines. Archer held her other hand and caressed her head, glaring at the doctor.

After some time the doctor was done with his treatment. The door of the cabin opens, revealing Asher and Adelio. Asher quickly walked towards Val and hugged her.

"How did this happen? Princess." Her dad asked, looking at her bandage hand.

"Nothing, dad, it's because of a fight." Val said, reassuring her dad.

"Tell me their name, and you'll find them dead." Adelio said in a dangerous tone.

"No, brother. You'll not do anything." Val shakes her head.  "I can handle my matter."  She added.

Her brothers and dad nodded in agreement. Her dad turned towards the doctor and asked  "There's nothing to worry, right doctor?"

"No, sir, Ms. Cruz is fine. Just be careful not to wet your injured hands for a few days." Doctor says with a professional smile.

"Okay, thank you." Archer said and gently held Valencia's other hand and walked out of the cabin.

Adelio paid the bills and followed them. They sat in the car and rushed to their home. Archer told everything to his brother and father about the attack.

If Caleb hadn't pulled Valencia back before she got shot, Valencia would not be with them right now.

Asher hugged his daughter tightly. Just the thought of losing their sister/daughter are enough for Cruz men to feel like dying.

They reached home and Valencia went to her study room. She found a young man sitting on the couch, waiting for her.

"Hello, Val." That man welcomed her, and waved her to sit on the couch.

"Hey, James!!" Val went and sat on the couch, a little far away from him.

"Should we start the session?" James asked and Valencia nodded, agreeing with him. James Martin, 25 years old and Valencia's therapist.

"So, how's your day?" He asked, taking a notebook and pen in his hands.

"It was so-so, good and bad both." Val says, and shrugged her shoulders.

"Why good and why bad? Explain to me." James asked, writing down everything she said.

"It was good because….I spent time with my family. And bad because…I fought with many people today." Val said, tapping on her chin.

"Hmm, why do you fight with people?" James again questions, looking her into her eyes.

"I killed some goons because they kidnapped, raped and killed girls." Valencia said, her eyes darkened as she mentioned them.

"And?" He said and looked at her.

"I fought in school with a girl, because she…. used my family's name." Valencia said and shrugged her shoulders.

Their sessions go like this for 1 hour. And Valencia patiently answered him. James teaches her some calming techniques to calm herself, when she's on the verge of bursting in anger.

After James leaves, Valencia has some snacks and starts to paint with her injured hand. She ignored her pain and continued her work.

When it was for dinner she changed her mood and happily had dinner with her father and brothers.

Next morning, Valencia got ready and left for her school. Caleb was driving her to school. He treats her like his younger sister.

He stopped the car in the parking area of the school, and got out to open the door for her. Val gets out and waits for Caleb to leave.

When she was about to walk inside, a honk came from behind and she turned to see a familiar car. She gulped down her and walked towards the car.

The window rolled down and her grandpa's face came into view.  "H…hello, grandpa." She said nervously.

"Don't call me that. I'm not your grandpa." Michael shouted. Unknowingly tears gathered in Valencia's eyes, but she didn't let them fall.

"Sorry, sir….why are you here?" She said looking down.

"I heard that you fought in school?" He said coldly. She nodded at his words.  "If you want to be the queen then first you've to rule over this school. Understand?"

"…Yes, I understand that and…. I'm trying to do that—" before Val can complete her word, Michael cuts her off.

"I don't want you to 'try'. My words are clear, if you fail to rule over this school then forget about the underworld." He shouted, Valencia closed her eyes in fear and stepped back.

Michael noticed her fear but didn't try to console her.  "Whom I'm even talking to, the murderer of my daughter." He said with hate.

Suddenly something caught Valencia's vision.  "Do as I said— hey where are you going? I'm not done talking to you." Michael said but Valencia has already run from there.

She crossed the road and stood behind a man.  "Who are you?" She asked as she put hand on his shoulder.

That man turned back and was shocked after seeing her. He pushed her and ran from there. Valencia stumbled but ran after him.

She took turns and ran into the valley after the man, Valencia launched at the man and tackled him to the ground.

"Tell me, who are you? And why are you following me?" She asked, punching him in his face.

He pushed her off and tried to run but she gripped his ankle and pulled him. He kicked on her hands but she didn't leave him.

"Why are you after me?" Valencia asked. That man screamed in pain as she stabbed him with her dagger.

"You will die." That man said and fought with her. They both were fighting near the cliff.

"He will kill you too." He said.

"He will or not, but today I'll kill you." Valencia said and kicked him in the stomach, he stumbled near the cliff.

"If I'm going to die, then you're dying with me." That man grabbed her wrist, as they both fell off the cliff.
