"These eyes... why do I feel I have watched them somewhere?" he bends down making their eyes on the same level.

Rax Dellon, yes, she remembered. They have met a couple of times in seminars since he always tries to get Maris's partnership. He is one of those influential people who got success in reaching her personally at the lab with their connections but being a rigid person she never let anyone go further in her personal life behind the curtain of Maria.

Their last meeting was two years ago when she threatened him about his annoying visits to her workplace and later she blacklisted him from her events.

She can't tell him now that she is the person he kept bothering two years ago. She needs to cover up or it will be dangerous if he figures it out when she never expects him to show up like this and all of this place.

Who knows what he is doing here and at a mafia leader's building he can't be an innocent one.
