The trip once again continues as they all hop in the car with a lot of snacks bought by Preston for both the ladies. They talked through the travel and Rune became closer to Madeline.

As Preston described, she indeed was bubbly and cheerful, a complete contrast to her background. If he didn't tell her, maybe she would never have been able to guess how many tears this girl had shed for this unfair world and life.

After a two hour drive they reached the Resort and spotted Rax waiting for them at the entrance.

"Why is this sucker here?" Rune asked with an annoyed tone that was answered by her boyfriend's tired sigh.

Preston parked the car and the ladies stepped their foot out. He reached them as they came out of the car. As soon as Rax stepped towards Madeline, his way was blocked by Rune.

"What are you doing here?" She attained a fighting posture as her voice again dropped down to chills, ready to kick his ass.

Rax threw his hands up "Easy woman, I'm here because of your boss."
