Chapter 16

They all turn their head at the male voice from inside, more inauspicious to Rax. It was Kennard in his loose white T-shirt over black trousers, glaring at Rax.

"Why are you here?'' The well-built man walks down each step with a piercing gaze towards the guest in front of Madeline like a lion. He reached the door continuing their glaring competition.

"Uhm" Madeline cleared her throat to break the tension but the next second she was pulled from the back and engulfed in big arms.

"HEY!!! HOW YOU DOING MY SIS!!" The loud cheer echoed around the silence of the hall.

"Oh my! Preston!!" Madeline looked up at the familiar voice with joy and hugged him back with the same excitement and both started jumping with the care of the two wolves growling at each other.

"Oh god, it's been a long time since I have seen your face. You have got so thin." She asked with frown eyes cupping the 5 '11 brother's face.

Preston made a pouty face "It's all your husband's fault he made me do a lot of work."
