Meeting the Georgia

I suspected that Stephan suffered from one form of mental illness. He was brimming red hot one minute and the next he was Mount Everest cold. It kept me on edge every time he had a sudden outburst.

I had accepted for now that he was beyond reasoning.

"There is someone I would like you to meet," Stephan said to me in that hypnotic voice I had become somewhat addicted to hearing.

I wondered why he sounded so eager to introduce me to this person. Maybe it was another of his kidnapped victims whom he had also kept here against her will.

The door gently opened and in walked a lady in her late forties; dressed in a black long dress with a white collar and a pair of elegant heels. She had a sophisticated air about her as she gracefully entered the room.

"This is Georgia, she has been with me for as long as I can remember, she will take care of all your needs," he said, introducing the friendly and attentive housekeeper standing by the door.

Her warm smile immediately put me at ease. I
